    I don’t know how 131 people watch the episode, but only 16 likes. Awesome work as usual, cheers from Australia 🇦🇺👍

    Great job!! It looks amazing!! I have been following your channel for a bit. I love the rear fender flares. I'm looking at building something similar on my 74 FJ40! In fact it was the video where you fabricated those that got me started watching your channel. Keep it up!!

      The flares were a fun build to learn more metalwork - good luck on yours if you give it a go, and let me know how it goes, too.

      It's a good feeling when it starts to come together after paint...but you sure need to work more carefully from here on out. 😬😆

      @@lonewolfworks oh yeah! The last thing you want to do is scratch that nice paint job. Just gotta go slow and easy for hear on out!

      Appreciate it - been debating whether to do another one, but as a soft-top, or to try something else completely different. Guess we'll see...

    Great work!
    Been following your progress on ih8mud, glad to see that the tub is on the chassis!
    Also, did you make those fender flares, or did you buy them?

      Good to get parts where they belong, and 'Mud is definitely a great source for '40 info..fun group there, too. Flares were scratch-built - had a week of downtime waiting for paint supplies at one point, so thought I'd try to see what I could do. There's an older vid on that specifically: czcams.com/video/euaBk6rlKHk/video.html

    What brand is the paint protection film that you used? You mentioned pictures of the build...where are those located? Thx

      Looks like it was Slip-n-Grip, but I'd wager there's quite a few variants of that shipping/transport wrap:

    Looking great! Can you tell us what wheels you are using?

    • @lonewolfworks
      @lonewolfworks  Před 2 lety

      Wheels are the Vision 55, in the 17*8 (55-7883GMML0). The 17" clears the tie rods nicely, and I did like that the 255/85 fit well without a ton of sidewall like a 33x15...the rim to tire ratio looks a bit more factory. I did need to modify the OEM acorn hubcaps to fit, though... they're a fairly different mounting style. The gunmetal gray is a nice nod to the OEM steelie color as well. www.visionwheel.com/wheel/4714/55-rally-aluminum/?finishID=101

      @@lonewolfworks thanks for the reply. I really like the way they look. Not sure I will like them as much with the center caps, but anxious to see them. Definitely a great look and the proportions are spot on. I am currently going through a build I started 2 weeks ago and just got the tub pulled yesterday. Trying to plan the build as much in advance as I can since I expect delays in getting things and appreciate the info.

      @@vancleaveconst Good plan - I did similar in getting stuff ordered as I did the chassis- and body-work. My other contender (same size) was the Mickey Thompson Classic III (in black or alu'): www.summitracing.com/parts/mtw-2479412
