    Corsair 27 Trimaran pulled by a kite using the fully electronic kite-control-system WingCommander RC.
    Kite size: 13.5sqm
    Wind at 2m: 6-10knt
    Speed: 8-9knt.
    Flight-Mode: manual (Autopilot optional)

    Needs a gyro on board which would transmit down to keep stability. I would think that there would be enough wind up there to run a small wind generator to keep it all as an airborne self controlled unit.

    looks great and all but i wonder how it would do on long distance trip like ocean crossing how does it react in storms and most of all can it be installed/use in combination with a standard rig

    I'm curious what happens in case of a lightning strike? Is there some way to ground it? If not I feel like the Wing Commander would get fried.

      Rofl. Its when you ground it the wing commander will get fried. Not grounding it is the best way to not make it catch lightning ;). Also this kite was way too small as clearly an extra engine was running as seen in video. But this would work with a much larger kite and indeed its something that can be used on a modern wind powered craft...

      sol star I thought it may be an Ian Farrier design. It is actually a Corsair which was probably designed by Ian.

    Cool system/product but really bad name. I googled the hell out of it. Good luck in that sea of noise.
