Our pleasure! And yes, it's one of the absolute things most people have in common, growing older! So, why not do it the best way we can.

We are 3 sisters.Mom is going to move after almost 2 years of living with one of my sister house to my house for 3 days and with the other the rest of the week. My sister has a one story house. And mine has all the rooms upstairs. Mom has bad knees. She cannot climb the stairs. Is it a good idea to install an stair electric chair? Are they to expensive?

Hi - well I think you are talking about a Stair Lift - which is the chair that takes someone up and down stairs.
The average cost for them is anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000 - it depends on if your stairs are just straight up or if there is a curve that you have to turn and do more stairs.
Now, you CAN get used stair lifts so that may help you to save some money. Also, Medicare may pay for part of it and if you live here in the USA then the Medicaid in some states also pays for part of it.
Here are some state programs that may help to pay for a stair lift -

I would recommend that you contact several stair lift companies in your area to get quotes, ask if they have used stair lifts and you can also ask about their financing.
Here's a list of some but go online and check to see if there are others near you as well.

I hope this was helpful and if you have any other questions just let us know.
