#careermode #simracing #assettocorsacompetizione - Hry
They should have made the career mode like a beginner's guide. So interaction with engineers about tyre temps, how to set up the car etc would become easier when you want to get more into the game. There's nothing intuitive about how the game works at the moment
Exactly
because it’s a simulator, intended for experienced drivers.
theres ton of that info, just ask Mr. Google
@@abyss18 where did you get that ridiculous notion that simulation games are only for professionals??
@@Toki-Ralte if a person with no experience in racing hops into a simulator the results would not be too promising, that’s for sure
Good video man, they should add the engineer talking thing to every racing game. I think someone needs to make a game where you go from karting, junior series, F4, F3, F2 and finally F1, that would be insane.
there are a few games like that but it's never implemented well, pc2 is the first one that comes to mind.
@@kantina4765 That was exactly my first thought
Project cars 2 had a very similar career mode to what your wanting..
And the sim racing side of it is pretty good. It's no ACC but it's very good
@@chrismatthews5655 Alright thanks
So that's TOCA Race Driver 3, what you're asking for then.
A game that came out in 2006.
In the games defense, lol you hopping into career mode is like John McEnroe reviewing reviewing Wii Mario tennis. Love the videos man.
There's me struggling to make it through the test laps thinking it's really difficult. Lol
Me spinning out braking to late crossing over track limits and invalidating my lap time it’s brought great pain
@@chrisjolicoeur8361 i dont have this problem anymore. But iam slow, 1:58 its the easy I.A. 😢
@@nicolasoliveira4903 I just bought the game tonight, 1:59.720 =( it felt like I was driving the car at its limit and I couldn't get below that.
me too. its super difficult !
@@truenorthbensame
On the topic "talking to your engineer". CrewCheif is always a option and works like a charm for me :D
The fact that it's not in game, sucks. Some things should be mendatory, not mendatory for you to add yourself
@@fjnemo It’s not a feature in lots of sim games, only game I know that does it is the f1 series
@@fjnemo they shoud put a course abou setups inside the game, like gran Turismo, guides about this things.
It’s cool to see they have also integrated some flying cars!
Ok I thought I was trippin but I noticed the cars float.
@@EpiCz_Izzy and i thought that only happened on ps4. He must have his settings turned down i noticed the other cars dont look good on his other streams and videos as well.
@@TheDarkestOne lol
Yeah ACC shadows are awful, at least on mid settings. But I cant even play the game because it is terrible in VR, even on an 3080 Ti. The Anti Aliasing they use makes the image look very blurry and muddy. Without AA game looks good but its flicker hell.
@@PrepaidKreditkarte81 thank you my friend for the info. now i know..
Hope they'll fix this soon.
I wish there was as ‘extremely easy’ mode. I have played for 20 hours, mix of practice and career mode, and not one time finished higher than dead last.
It would make it more fun for a beginners like me if the difficulty could be adjusted even lower.
How are u getting on now 4 months down the line have u improved or give up lol
Bro 😭
@@qamzah126 4 months i still 2 seconds slower than easy I.A. iam trying, 4 hours practice every day. Its like real life i just suck no matter how hard i work. Effort dont matter.
I think we can safely say that was one of the most stimulating and ground-breaking career playthroughs we've seen. Your enthusiasm is radiating through the screen, and it seems like you've become not only a better driver, but a better person for having done this. 👏
Lol, XD
I fkn luv u sammich!
2 minutes in, and I believe that the intro of the career mode should play the first time you launch the game and be unskippable. Public lobbies are hell.
the career mode doesn't exist past the initial lambo test, it's basically just practice and race session chained together, it's terrible
Nice summary, it’s a great tool for practicing close racing before heading online too 👍🏻
It be nice if the engineers would walk you through on how to set up the car, like basic stuff on how to use the setup to correct under steer and oversteer or what camber and toe settings change the feel of the car
If you play Project Cars 2 career mode, you do talk to your race engineer somewhat and can create pit strategy.
I feel like custom championship is very much more enjoyable than career for single players. Depending on difficulty and season settings, its very exciting to sometimes be fighting for points or podiums. It’s kinda like an offline league
It is like these companies consult teams on everything, except for what day-to-day actions are for a career mode
Zolder is my hometown, i am at the track a lot. I guess i grew up at the track cause my dad raced in the 70s and 80s.
The 1st corner isnt realistic, the real corner leans to the outside a lot
You sure can drive sir ... keep doing your thang you love 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾‼️‼️‼️
Nice video. Tried Career at the start when i bought the game but after a few races i dropped it. It is not immersive and to me the selling poit of ACC is the fact that i can boot it up and be in a multiplayer race a few minutes later with the best GT3and GT4 sim available :D
I agree with everything you are saying with the career mode. It does need a huge update. Even the motogp has that option where you talk to your crew chief
You're driving the Huracan Supertrofeo, not the Huracan GT3, in the first "young driver test". The Supertrofeo is much slower than a GT3 car, a 49-50 on Monza is a decent time so don't even sweat it. :)
Yes, I agree, my favorite game but a bit more of immersive experience would do better, mechanics on the garage getting the car ready, engineer talking before race, a little bit of cinematics... at least in carrer mode. And once you win is the same short celebration as always.
Bad take😂
You can try downloading crew chief and enable your voice recognition, you can talk to the engineer but only the basic stuff like what's my position, gap to the car ahead, my tire pressures etc
Used to run Crew Chief back in the day tbf!
havent finished career yet but i just bought ACC about a week ago and im loving career mode. i definitely agree that you should be able to talk to your team thru the mic.
Why does it look like the AI cars are floating? Very low shadows?
I think it’s a very good point that the AI should be right up their with the best drivers on 100 difficulty.. how else are you supposed to train against them and get better
I bought the game and played it for the first time last year and I jumped straight into career. It feels like a tutorial to me, it gave me a chance to get used to the schedule of races and stuff. I think it's aimed at beginners as a warm up to the game. I'd rather make mistakes in the pits in this mode than a competitive lobby. It gets longer as you go and I've done a few endurance races but I ended up not going back to it as like you said the AI is a bit weak and it's not much of a challenge. Good way to get used to tyre wear, fuel and pitstops though so it has its uses I guess.
Indeed as soon as you get the hang of the sim and its mechanics you're ready to stop doing career for practise and do everything else online.
If you install crewchief, play in vr and disavle all hud its freaking amazing for a Singleplayer sim experience.
The better career experience is to just do custom championships. The career is very poor and I remember after the patch that changed the physics and handling some months ago it was broken in some form or fashion.
As a 'steady' off-line only guy, I was disappointed in the career mode also. I've mainly been doing practice sessions and single races. I've only recently tried the Championship mode, and I think it's loads better than the career. You can have 2018/19 Blancpain series, or Euro GT4, British Championship or fully custom championship. Being able to set AI, and the weather is a huge bonus for ppl like me (steady), and although I'll never rip up and trees, I enjoy it immensely. Watching you race has me slamming the non existent brakes on in my living room! 🤣🤣🤣💯👍
Great video. I am a beginner sim racer. I have been doing career mode in AC and ACC. I like them both but I think AC might be better because the power of cars gradually build and the handling is very different in each. I do like the idea of being safe in ACC. I guess I am happy because ignorance is bliss. Overall, happy to be starting sim racing. I also like that there isn't all that story junk like Forza Motorsport.
Honestly if they were to release ACC 2 it would be cool to do it 2 options: 1 is pro racer where a manufacturer hires you, or 2 you go as a privateer where you manage the team and you see what all is involved in a gt3 race. Management cost logistic upgrades and so on.
kunos! look at this and take notes
I used your code JB5 on RaceAnywhere today and got myself the seat you recommended the other week (the Sparco GRID-Q) to finally get my sim rig that I started building a year ago up and running. Cheers. 🤘

@@Jaaames do you have any videos on how to do car set ups ??? …. It’s a headache for me lolol
I'm a total newbie in sim racing, just bought my first ever wheel and this game and after a few hours of practise I can pretty consistently finish a race in Monza (the only track I know how to drive at least somewhat). My alltime best lap time is 1.52.3s so still ~5 seconds off the pace and would love to tinker with the car setup, but I have absolutely 0 experience and knowledge of what any of the stuff means, so it would be pretty nice if career mode taught you not only the tracks and how to drive but also how to setup your car.
I get what you mean but meta setups for online will never be the same as real world engineering. I'd say just get the 3 stars on the tracks you like and hop on online. Focus on being clean and a gentleman. Once you're comfortable with avoiding the first corner pile up your driving will improve massively and it's a lot of fun driving with other players. There will always be some person getting mad but that only means they're not having fun so just best avoid them and not engage. Check out some recent setup tutorials on youtube and try to put your hot tire pressures at 26,7psi. Adjust them before every race.
For the average player doing career mode can be a good way to learn how to play the game.
Also you can receive Drive thru penalties, DQs for speeding into the pit lane or out and stop and go penalties.
For someone who's a world class sim racer it's going to be easy of course.
If you want a real challenge do brands hatch at 100% AI and 100% Aggression. Start from the back and see if you can get first.
Also career mode has a 2, 4, 6, 8 and 24 hour races lol.
He did and won. Thanks.
there used to be a game on xbox 360 where you could talk to a advisor it was new tech and buggy and your sentence had to be exactly right and the person would react with a update or what to do next kind of thing so the tech is defo there lets wait and see
the career mode is a great way for newbie to get the fundamentals of the game.
a multiplayer proper carrer would be fun, so you can share the race with your mate
I think career mode in a game like ACC is a bit of a box ticking exercise, other games have so ACC must too. It’s never going to be much of thing when the entire game is built around a single series (yes I know there’s GT4 DLC) so there’s no progression. Not all of us want to race online… I don’t have the spare time to get good enough to make online races enjoyable but I think I’ll be sticking to custom single player races for the time being
i see at 13:50 the Mercedes becomes a hover car lol
Career is literally the first thing I did lol
Let me gain track experience before hitting Online. But he’s it is a bit basic but it’s more for newer players obviously before they terrorize the servers.
They still terrorise servers. Nobody knows what a brake pedal is
I still remember making it to the Misano test in Career, and the AI were broken, driving around racing line at 80kph in the rain, and as I drove up on them at racing speed and off the racing line, they’d pull into my path and I’d wreck them
The ai are pretty good in this game tbh.
ACC AIs are the most gentle AI I've ever seen in all kinds of racing games 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some of the AI looked like they were floating!
His shadows are probably low in the graphics settings for more fps when racing online
@@fjnemocorrect
@@Jaaames What's going on at 13:51-54 though? The car deffo looks to be hovering above the track regardless of the shadows. Nice vid though.
@@thanekrios3211 No its on the ground. Thats just low shadows. Shadows are what tell your eyes where something is contacting the ground.
which one this or Automobilista that have overwhelming long career mode with diverse cars similar to GT 7? berceuse im not into online racing
Career mode has always just seemed a bit weird. The very first session is alright at introducing you to the game, but beyond that it's like 'why wouldn't I just play Single Player or Championship?'
Also very interesting to see how a professional perceives the AI. I always thought it was weird that someone as terrible as me can comfortably play with them on 90% difficulty.
It's not 90% difficulty if it starts at 80. I'm also at 90 difficulty and it's average, you re still 4 secs slower than the best in the world on most races. I see your comment was over a year ago, still play ACC?
Would have been funny to see your reaction when you get to the 24h of Spa. Three hour long race with ......15 min stints XD
F1 2017 Xbox One you could use your Kinnect to talk to your Engineer and say things like (“Box This Lap” “Tyers Ultra Soft” “Jeff Shut Up” “Driver in front” “Race Information” “Weather update”
How did you change your driver name because mine is just my xbox username
Thx for the video. There is obviously a bug in the career mode - some or all AI driven cars are flying over the tarmac. The tires are not in contact with the bottom. I wonder nobody mentioned this?! It’s not only in this video, its on my system too.
tires not in contact is simply your shadow graphics settings.
@@cyprusdaedalus Thx for this information. What exactly has to be changed? I wonder because in races against humans I don’t have this problem. Only in races with AI cars.
I’ve done the last race (24hrs of Spa) 6 times and still haven’t finished the race. There’s a glitch that crashes the game when you get towards the end of the race. Not cool
The Lambo slides like crazy and handles like a brick
Something tells me this guy “has what it takes” to drive gt3 😂
13:51 -- *Do the cars always float over the pavement like that? Has this been addressed yet?* 🙄🤣
Never did that as well and probably never will
I’m in 2 minds whether to get this on ps5. What’s your opinion
Where can you check your race season standings for career mode
How come you have your graphics settings turned down so it looks like iRacing? 😅
I don’t have the steering wheel setup just a PS5 controller. Can I still play this game. I was told that I can’t but can I still find some enjoyment in it with the remote. I really want to play this game. It looks like the best racing game I’ve ever seen
Flying car at 14:13 😂
I just got acc for my pcvr. Gt7 on ps5vr is much better so far. Glad i will not do career mode. So no stort just racing on ACC?
Why are the R8's floating lol
is the handling on this game more realistic than on iRacing?
You went there and called it a game 😂
That triggers some people LOL
Are the cars actually on the track I get the impression they are a few inches above the tarmac.
I'm new to the game I'm playing the career mode and in a sprint race I can be in first no ai pass me but I wind up in last place what am I doing wrong ?
ive got a question do you have to buy the cars like iracing or are they in game credit
No money involved. You simply pick
I played just recently and cranked the ai, it's extremely difficult lol
Can you please share the model of your racing seat?
IMO they could add Supra and Mustang GT4 as base-game content and create career alongside that. You start as a young adept in one-make class, join GT4, then Silver/Gold Cup and finally to the Pro class. With some story mode and higher difficulty it could be a banger honestly
I love the way the guy who won the title "Worlds fastest gamer" is getting annoyed at how easy the AI is XD XD hahaha some of us make GT3 cars move like forklifts man we need a break haha
I be playing online but it only always use the same one track. How do i change track? Do i have to buy DLC? #PS5
I love career mode
Is it a shading thing that makes cars look like they're floating sometimes, or is that just how it looks?
Its how it looks. Its definitely a pretty bland looking game compared to gt7 or even fh5
Not how it looks normally. Shadows are set to low. They look fine at higher settings.
My career mode is buged, I didn't get any medal after getting first place in the first endurance race (Monza), nor did I get some points. Looks like saving your race triggers the bug, not sure if they fixed it, can't anyone confirm?
I tried the career Moder after 1300 hours of online driving and its way to short.. just a few laps and races and that’s about it. It’s obviously mainly a online game but I agree with other comments that they should have make a tutorial kind of experience to help new drivers to understand the cars and tracks before they go online and ruin races 😂
there's at least 3 endurance races, including a 24 hr at spa. Note that they are a accelerated time ratios however.
I just started playing today and after a few tries I can only get about 2: 02. I will beat them before moving on....I swear
Great video! Would be great if they took your feedback on board, and worked with drivers such as yourself to shwo what times AI should be setting on Pro level. It makes no sense for them to be that slow.
I bought that game a long time ago thinking it was the one you could mod. Competitzione is NOT it. The first Assetto Corsa is. Anyway, I started playing it again because I wanted to play another racing game that isn't Formula 1. I love F1 but I want to try other motorsports like GT or WEC. I think I'll stick with ACC for a while
Kunos missed an opportunity with this. They could have made a race school/special events instead of this. Say 50 events that show you what the game is about. Car setups, the aero setup that is an important part of the game, tyre management, strategy managment, how to drive in wet but drying conditions, etc. Something similar to the driving school in GTR 2 or the licence tests in GT. It could have helped my biggest issue with the game ,that is it doesn't tell you anything. Every time I get deeper into setups I have to Google stuff for minutes, cause for example descriptions of the ECU maps and brake disc sets are not in the game even though the setup screen has a description box. I've been playing since early access, so I know what to look for, but If someone would like to get into the game now, they wouldn't have a clue how to properly setup the car, or that they need MoTec to tune the dampers, unless they watch 30+ hours of Aris Drives. This game needs a manual.
Hahaha try playing on ps4 lol
Not all as fast as you, But it helps to get SA points
I mean when you play iracing or have the chance to why play anything else?
I see a lot of floating cars
I am very new to sim racing, new to ACC and even newer to career mode. I usually don't know what to do. So trial and error. In your video, the cars in front of you remind me of hover craft. To me, they look like they're not touching pavement a lot of the time. So far, I spend most of my time in practice. I try to get 25 valid laps out of 25 laps using different tracks. Too often I drive too fast and slide off track in a turn. Still having fun though.
Hey mike. New to acc from gran turismo. If youre on ps4 msg me
@@maineiacial I built my sim using a PC with a Ryzen 9 5950X and RTX3090.. I am retired and recently moved to Texas and sold my home in Minnesota so I kind of went overboard with the simrig. I have the Simrig SR2 motion and I REALLY LIKE IT! I'm running quad curved monitors and everything else is Fanatec. Today I added a UPS for the sim. I watched a LOT of CZcams videos to figure out what to buy. Simm Racing Garage was a big help. Building was the easy part. Now I need to learn how to use it better.. So far, it's just been practice racing beginner level in ACC. I tried F1 2021 but I like ACC better. I'm just looking to have some fun so I doubt that I want to get involved as iRacing. Maybe I'm wrong, but iRacing seems way too serious to me. I also race RC cars. With sim racing and RC racing, I should be able to keep busy in retirement.
Wondering if you could help me I am playing on ps 5 with t150 mclaren calls for 460 wheel lock. T150 has 360 and 540. Nothing between those numbers any ideas thanks for any help

Can u show the new cam settings ?
They are for a triple screen setup
The lack of shadows under the cars really puts me off. Why have they chosen not to implement shadows 🤦🏻
I think the main Problem with the Career mode ist that the name gives you the wrong expectations in terms of the depth of the experience. The way I see it it is more or less a long tutorial aimed at people who didn´t do a lot of any simracing before. As someone who is shit at the game i felt like it was/is supposed to give me a framework of how to approach learning to drive and give me some trackknowledge as well as getting me used to having others cars on the track, without ruining other peoples races in Quickjoin. Granted a good part of that comes from starting career so that i was simultaniously unlocking the different ratings. Having the game explain setups would certainly be a cool thing, that could have at least been in included in higher difficulties. As to the strength of the AI i think you are setting unfair expectations. In multiplayer focused games the AI modes are usually completely beneath actual competitive levels. They are training dummies. As such i think having them be a second slower than a professional is reasonable. But yeah an actual solo player experience would be nice. Maybe at some point in the future they´ll hire some people to make that. I wouldn´t necesserily want them to take the time from developing mulyplayer relevant things. Hope this doesn´t come across as to appologetic. Your critique is quite valid. Especially from your perspective but also generally the career mode just doesn´t rise to the exectations it sets with the way it is presented.
TLDR: Carreer mode is a bit mislabled. It´s acually a tutorial that could be a bit more fleshed out. An acual singleplayer experience would be cool if it doesn´t take ressources from multyplayer development.
Sad the career mode does not integrate gt4. But then again what do these guys know about career modes...even something as basic as the career mode in dirt rally 1.0 would have went a long way.
You can download crew chief and talk to your engineer
I can barely get pole position on medium difficulty XD
i found that ac is very hard on controller
Why this game looks like from 2005, do you using ps4 ?
Don't think much of the graphics the car in front looks like its flying and not in contact with the track.
I am in a career mode but I am clue less about how long my tires should last.
I do like 40 min races.
Depends on what settings you have. On beginner theres no tyre wear.
When you hit the pause button it will show you how much tread is left on your tires. Starting at 3.0 millimeters of tread you should pit around 1.5mm iirc. Check for temps to be within 10 degrees from outer to inner. You can also check for over/under inflation. The top of the front tyre will be higher or lower than the outside ones and the bottom of the rear will be similar.
@@maineiacial what do you mean when you pause it shows you your tire where..
I am in zero assist , normal level.

my opinion on the ACC career mode in one word: Boring.
The new Championship is way better.
When I bought it the Career Mode actually had a more prominent looking box in the menus but months later they made the Championship the bigger one.
Years later it seems that the career mode hasn’t been improved at all. Game is only enjoyable online TBH.
I guess I’m just horrible because even the ai on easy are hard😂. I’m playing on a full simulator. But forza Motorsport with an Xbox elite controller and I’m doing great😭
Wasn't the short, medium and long option in reference to gear ratio...maybe I read it wrong lol...major bugs at Zolder for the first race of the series...I got dq'd for a pit lane speed violation when I was driving down the right handside of the pit straight...race 2 the entire field was dq'd for the same thing...I bought the new disc version on PS5 just released
They are in relation to the race length :)
