This guy is so cool. So talented, passionate about the music, down-to-earth, humble, has a sense of humour.... You couldn't want for anything else from a band member! Tuomas and the guys made a wise decision when they snapped him up as a permanent member of Nightwish.

My sentiments exactly. He's been around, too. In the first sentence he drops some rather significant names; Barbara Dixon, Status Quo and Pip Williams. I didn't realise he was friends with Williams. The more I listen to Troy, the better his credentials become. Like you say, such an empowering and valuable asset to the band. And also a real friend to Tuomas. I love his description of Nightwish being a family, and the fellowship within the band. Feelings echoed by Floor also, in numerous interviews.

What a great and fascinating interview I was totally absorbed in it! Wonderful to hear how Troy was brought into Nightwish and the evolution of his very close philosophical bond with Tuomas. And to get Dawkins on that album was one of the great gets of any band ever!!
I share their views on evolution and religion as well, having been an Atheist since my teens.

7:17 If Nightwish / Tuomas goes on Sam Harris's podcast, that would be the greatest show on earth.
