It’s pretty tough to hand split but my splitter had no problem with it.

Does that make a good smoking wood? I've never heard anyone Talk about it for smoking before and we don't have any here.

I have yet to smoke with it since I don’t have a smoker however it is used quite a bit around here for meat.
