    Thanks guys. I wish the review was with more examples, pulling shadows, edits, different situations. My opinion is that you spoke about specs longer than needed and i think people who can spend 10k$ are aware of the specs. We need 50gfx with this processor and IBIS. for 5k! Please, now! :)

      Max Patten I don’t think so. To me it feels like the last twich of manufacures who desperately trying to find a niche to screem that they are sitll alive. This GFX100 reminds me of the Olympus E-M1X.

    Evelyn and Dave, I absolutely love your videos; however, I must echo what one of my fellow bloggers stated: what the consumer needs is the GFX 50 with a similar processor, full frame and IBIS at $5K. If Fujifilm were able to release something like this, they would own a lion's share of the market. I recently sold all of my Canon gear for the fact that Canon is continually holding back on its own technology, which can be quite frustrating for an avid Canon user. I was hoping to become a loyal Fujifilm enthusiast; however, they too are holding back, and respectively speaking, the new Z-Cam E2 Full Frame 6K Cinema Camera and the Panasonic Lumix S1H are about to democratize the camera industry. By the way, the GFX - 100 looks absolutely amazing; I just feel it is over-priced.

    A fascinating camera, if not the very large RAW files. To process these amounts of data, you need a fast PC with a huge hard drive. I would like to see how the programs deal with the big files (Stacking, HDR..)

    • @tjkrueger2655
      @tjkrueger2655 Před 5 lety

      The files may be big, but editing stills won't be much different than other RAW files on most computers. I played around with one 100mp file, it was seamless on my middle of the road PC

    I used one for six hours yesterday with a GODOX flash and was very impressed with most aspects. The detail is incredible - but alas there are not many ways in the Internet world, smart phones, and the demise of large printed images to show that off very often. The file sizes are large, and it took me 18 minutes to download about 180 images to my new MACBOOK PRO with16 Gigs of RAM and the fastest quad core processor available for it. I do a lot of pro shoots - and I would certainly be much more conservative in how many pictures I took per session with it.

    Nice review... But did you really give a pass on that horrid vertical grip design? Seriously, some of us make a living shooting fashion catalog and magazine editorials vertical, every day, thousands of shots per day. The previous GFX50S had brilliant vertical grip, lowered to keep both elbows on chest and trigger finger level with viewfinder. But the new design is insulting and painful for vertical togs. Fuji had the best VG design, but then trashed it for double the price. Bad move.

    Love the camera, love the brand, but am I the only one who thinks the IBIS for video looks rather awful? Nobody seems to mention this on any reviews, everyone just says it's great but I could never use a shot like that for work. Not that I would buy this camera with video as my main intent, but it just seems strange that every youtube reviewer is fine with it. I still want one, I'll just tripod it for video. I love locked-off shots anyway. I think the flatter perspective at wider angles afforded by the big sensor can make some compelling and interesting shots - wide angle FOV with much less distortion. yum. Not too mention being able to get wider shots in tighter locations.

    • @TheCameraStoreTV
      @TheCameraStoreTV  Před 5 lety

      The rolling shutter is the worst thing about the video quality on this. Locking it down would help a lot.

    Would not want to work with this brick 🧱. These days we have those 42-50Mpix Sensors and the pixel density is like those FF bodies, just with double the mpix.
    High mpix are great for a lot of situations, but for me personally, even the 42mpix of my A7RIII are overkill for 95% of my jobs.
    I like the concept of the Hassi X1D, but the GFX100 is just to much of everything.
