Great video. At 5:22 you want to go HDG, but if you press "HDG" you instead go "rol". So counter intuitively, you need to press "nav" to go "HDG".... what space monkey engineer thought this was a good idea??
Very clear and concise - so clear that even a non-IFR rated pilot (moi) can get it. A little late to the party but I'd like to add this. If you had not yet established the heading that was initially given by ATC, after they issued instructions for you to continue on *present* heading, apart from disabling the NAV mode, would you also hit the heading dial to bring the heading bug around to present heading? TIA.
I wish I would have seen this video before touched a nav or appr button. Thanks so much. Very short. Q and A was perfect.
Thanks. You cleared that up for me.
Great video.
Great video! Thanks for clarifying - I’ve moved from an STEC55 to GFC700 and the logic is very different…
Terrific production quality
Very clear and informative. Thank you!

Great fix for a gotcha! Thanks!
Very helpful thanks much. What G1000 sim do you use for the videos?
Very informative……used to a more conventional FD……..this procedure was new to me……..why can’t they just standarize….
thanks
so white = turn off and on
green = default flip flop
6:10 - "PRODECURE"
What is ROL and what is PIT?
I don’t think ATC will ever love your, lol great video tho
Why didn't you just click off the AP, and hand fly ATC's instructions? Then when stabilized, turn back on the magic.
