Hello Everyone. I would like to thank Leandro M Mendez for posting this. I have lost all of my master tapes. I am the creator and performer of this song. I actually created it in October 1993. It hit the air in late 93 and early 94. There are a lot of great comments posted here about this song. I am very grateful for all of the love. God Bless you all, Aaron Whigham
For real? You pretty much defined a significant portion of my childhood (and for several others too, at least) with this thing. Love is the least we can give.
Thanks for responding Aaron! I grew up being an avid viewer of early CN (beginning in 1993-1994ish), and this promo is still one of the most memorable (and catchy) of that era. Perfectly encapsulates Cartoon Network's early selection of programming. I've been wondering who the artist behind this was for the better part of the last 20+ years! How did you come upon being contracted to make this song, and what are you up to nowadays?
Aaron Whigham I have vivid memories of singing this song in school with one of my childhood friends. I really appreciate your artistry Mr. Whigham, and I thank you for your part in making my childhood as fond as I remember.
Every other year I look for this video for the nostalgia. I’m a little older at 40, but I remember seeing the commercial all the time. So much so that I knew the words to the rap Lol
I'm 43 now and I loved to watch cartoon network back then as a teenager with my baby brother. Nothing better than old school and loved this commercial rap. To whom that posted this thank you very much for bringing back great memories!!
I cut the cord ages ago, but I still have fond memories of early 90's Cartoon Network. When it just seemed new and different and no one knew how long it would last. Much like early 80's MTV when you think about it. I used to love the bumpers between shows and the self mocking ads about itself.
Here because this rap just popped into my head a couple days ago and figured I would check to see if it was on YT and I was not disappointed. Miss those days when cartoon network was actually worth watching
This song popped into my head earlier this week, so I decided to look it up. Thanks for making me feel like I’m 10 years old again (even if it was only for a minute and a half)
This had to be played after 93-94 as well. I remember seeing this when I was in college but sat out all of 94. And school was out from Thxgiving till the new year in 1993. Nevermind I see 1995 in the title..My bad
I love how Cartoon Network has always had a bit of a hipster bent to it. There were other commercials and station IDs before and after this one that used rap music, but it was usually pop rap. I can't think of any others that were more "alternative" rap.
This brings back fond memories. This is such an awesome rap. Glad to finally know who wrote and performed it. It was so great that I thought it was Biggie Smalls.

Thank you Snarko Tron. I really appreciate it.
I love this song, but I like more in spanish!

This is actually better than most of the rap that's out now.
This was when Cartoon Network was good.
LadyA728 I know right it’s wack now
nickdaman23 not really, it was a different time back then so the channel changed to fit with the times
I say the same thing by the mid 2000s it wasn’t the same.
@LadyA728 Thanks for the love.
Ikr the cartoon network this days that's not looking good that much but is still good but the cartoon network back in the days is more good
This Cartoon Network rap brings me way back from when I was about 6-years-old. Still one of the best ever in my life. Oh, how I miss the 90's.
Cartoon Network Back Then Was A Big Fan Of Rap And Decided To Do This For 1995
Darkman9478 that's mean your 25+ years old
Yep. I've recently turned 27.
Rob Lightyear98 uploads Popeye, The Jetsons, and Top Cat, right?
smh damn, memories of the 90s... I miss being a kid
These new millennials will never really know how lit these times were....1995/1996 was legendary....#bars
Sweet nostalgia. Things like this made the idea of cartoon network more a frame of mind then just a bunch of syndicated shows.
This brought back so many memories 90s was the best hands down.
I was 4 when this came out. I totally remember this! Crazy! Cartoon Network was the best back then.
I was 25, kid ;)
still as cool now as it was back then
Si, Gonzalez. I agree.
I'm 43 now and I loved to watch cartoon network back then as a teenager with my baby brother. Nothing better than old school and loved this commercial rap. To whom that posted this thank you very much for bringing back great memories!!
This was when it was the checkerboard era of cartoon Network and they were at their best
Back when CN tried to be cool…
And succeed. 😎
I remember being on standby to record this song with my tape recorder. I still know all the lyrics lol

Cartoon Network on Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal as a kid in the 90s was the best!

Old school Cartoon Network kicked ass! Today's Cartoon Network sucks!
Still the best made for tv rap ever.
Man this is still dope. I feel old now I was rappin this when I was 6 in school lol
I miss this Cartoon Network. It has fallen so far from its roots.
I still remember this song word for word,, When Cartoon Network first came out they had no commercial breaks it was the best

I'm 40 and i remember this as a kid..
I first saw this commercial during an acid trip when I was 15... It completely blew my mind!
I have been searching for this song forever & finally found it. ❤
I so remember this cartoon network commercial rap song back when in high school. back '95 CN was still pretty much new and full fresh ideas. :-P
Havent heard this since 1995, its 2019 and I still remember most of the lyrics XD
25 years later I still remember this weird for word. . . Dang the nostalgia is bliss.
O how I miss the 90’s. I haven’t heard this song since I was like 11…it’s 5 a.m. and it came across my mind so here I am☺️🥺❤️
this was great... i had this on cassette lol
Hell yeah! 37 and still remember this heater. Life is good! 🔥

To this day, when I see CN, I blurt out “ Cartoon Network...Alright boys.. Cartoon Network...one ah two”
Thanks for posting.
This takes me back!! Thank you for the nostalgia☺️
They worked really hard on this. Such a loving tribute to the things we loved as children.
I remember when I first saw this in 96. That was such a great promo. The groove is smooth. Brings back memories.
I cut the cord ages ago, but I still have fond memories of early 90's Cartoon Network. When it just seemed new and different and no one knew how long it would last. Much like early 80's MTV when you think about it. I used to love the bumpers between shows and the self mocking ads about itself.
The good old days glad I was apart of this generation cartoon network for life
Here because this rap just popped into my head a couple days ago and figured I would check to see if it was on YT and I was not disappointed. Miss those days when cartoon network was actually worth watching
Bless you, Ted Turner.
Did Ted Come Up With That In 1995
GODDAMNIT I have no idea why after 20 years THIS song popped into my head but thanks for having it
This song popped into my head earlier this week, so I decided to look it up. Thanks for making me feel like I’m 10 years old again (even if it was only for a minute and a half)
This video hit me straight in the Nostalgia. Back when I was very young and yeah kind of miss it.
The good ol days of CN
Oh how i miss them
All I had was air mattress and a tv on the floor during this period of my life and I had this to make it the best childhood
OMG this one's so takes me back! Nostalgia at it's finest, folks! 😲🤩
Compliments to the rapper who well... Rap this joint! ✌🏼😎
me and my BFF and her younger sister knew this by heart and used to rap it all day every day hahahah
This had to be played after 93-94 as well. I remember seeing this when I was in college but sat out all of 94. And school was out from Thxgiving till the new year in 1993. Nevermind I see 1995 in the title..My bad

I'm 35 now and was 6 in 1995. I feel like I vaguely remember this.
We’re in the middle of 2023 and I’m 37yrs old. I just showed my Daughter this video😂😂😂
I love how Cartoon Network has always had a bit of a hipster bent to it. There were other commercials and station IDs before and after this one that used rap music, but it was usually pop rap. I can't think of any others that were more "alternative" rap.
I'm a nut for classic Hanna Barbera cartoons and it all started with Cartoon Network and later Boomerang.
Damn this brought back so much memories wow 90s era
Better than what you here today.
Im 38 and I remember this!!!
They had the best bumpers back in the day. Took actual creativity.
This brings back fond memories. This is such an awesome rap. Glad to finally know who wrote and performed it. It was so great that I thought it was Biggie Smalls.
Magilla Gorilla is still chillin'. 😂
Ah, the early-mid '90's when this came out were the golden years of Cartoon Network raps. I was 10 or 11 then, and I'm 39 (about to be 40) now
My older sister said a boy in her class rapped this when he came over to watch a movie
It made my day when this popped up on my recommendations
The Checkboard and Powerhouse era really made Cartoon Network awesome in the 90s
If they did a rap today the lyrics would be "we show teen titans go and that's it"
Max Mcclure We cancel good shows but we got titans go
The same year I was born, but I wish I was born earlier so I could experience the 90s more.
I always loved this rap!!!!
do you have the spanish version??? i miss it so much!!!
Still a bop! And I’m 39
My favorite commercial rap!!!
Bro made the smurfs look cool
I was 8 when this came out and the only one my that new all the lyrics
This is pretty cool. Too bad I was just an infant when this was made!
Damn I miss these days!
buddy killed it though!!!
nighttime85 Yeah he laid it down on this. Before I was even a fan of rap like that, this performance was memorable.
I remember this so well EPIC
Used in Cartoon Network (1995-2019) and Toonsville TV (1995-2019)
this flat beat reminds me of Toonami!
better than the power puff girls 2016 rapping
This is STILL the bomb!!!!! Nothing decent on CN these days.......
Bella época de escuela 😢😢
This is a jewel!!!
Back when there was no TTG.
Leandro has bars this beat and wordplay classic.
Oooooh SNAP!!!🔥🔥🔥
Memories
Cool
Imagine if MeTV did something like this for their upcoming Toons network
Do you have the Carton Network Hoedown?
I remember this.
THIS SHIT IS 🔥🔥🔥
Cool 😎

I finally found it 😭😭😭😭😭
I wish the spanish version was available!
