- I was invited over by GoodFabs (goodfabs.com) who are well known for their F1 work to check out their first offering in the motorcycle world. Very impressed with their engineering. If you have an Africa Twin and want to discuss their system, contact them on info@goodfabs.com. As always, I'm not affiliated or sponsored by them or anyone for that matter, but I’m excited to see another high quality manufacturer entering the market. You can see this system on the Dyno here: • Dyno Testing Titanium ...

If you make exhausts and RJ gives you his approval, you know you're doing something right!
that down pipe is gorgeous
such a beautiful bike! and that exhaust is amazing. Thanks for taking the time for making this video the AT is dreambike for sure!
Rj i saw you this Saturday in front of buckingham with the s1000r it was my first time in London and seen you made my day
The moment you twisted the throttle, I felt butterfly's in my stomach. That's love on first hearing over there!
2:44 OMG these welds are a piece of art!!!
i dont know about performance and sound, but just for looking at this craftmanship everyday is worth the money
africa twin said: " i need a tunnelll"
Great looking bike, sounds awesome too and can only imagine how well it rides.
The guy at 2:21 standing looking at the bike looks like he is doing to mannequin challenge
ExcessCrescent 😂😂😂😂
Very nice work on the exhaust, gives a new look to the AT.
Pure craft work and more than likely at a top end price.....The colouring looks fantastic ..
Great sound...reminiscent of one or two of you're bikes....
I somehow don't imagine the Honda with that Exhaust note....maybe it's me
I can't put my finger on it but I love watching you vids... Great job RJ!
Thats amazing to see you in my area RJ I drive through that Oakley village you stopped in often. You should have stopped by for a cup of tea lol
Buddy's Insight next time
Terrific bike love it I've owned no less then 12 of them over the years.
When I order up an AT Adventure Sports, it will need a system like this. Coming from the Ducati world, whatever I ride has to have a great exhaust note. The 270-degree firing interval with the system demo’d here sounds pretty wicked.
Absolutely gorgeous sound. If i could afford 1 adventure bike, i'd take this with this header system. Not only is the Africa Twin cheaper than all the others, its a very capable off road bike too
These vids are great. That exhaust looks and sounds awesome.
never seen/heard a new africa twin with such a nice exhaust note.
Beautiful Sound.... Congratulations !!!! 🎵🎵🎵
one of the best motovlogers! With BaronVonGrumble of course but very entertaining, keep it up!
I LOVE RoyalJordanian :)
Lovely bike. I'd seen people travel around the world with the old Africa Twin, and I personally loved the new Africa Twin that Honda made. Well I'm still a bit too young for the CRF1000 (Africa Twin) so I was thinking of starting with the New CRF 250 Rally 2017. Then move to the Africa Twin when I'm mature enough to afford one in the future. Thank you for this video RJ :D
I im in love with that bike
wow, there exhaust sounds really good. it actually sounds like one of your bikes.
RJ I don't know if you remember but I asked you about whether you thought a remap was needed. I ham happy to report there are now a couple choices for tuning. I picked up a fuel manager from a company called Dimsport. It automatically adjusts without a second module and is much cheaper than other options that do the same. We'll see how well it works.
Looks and sound amazing !
That sounds Amazing
It does somewhat sounds similar to Nuke! probably due to the V-twin heritage sound :)
DailyRevs Manila the Africa is a parallel twin
+Robert Johnstone ... there's always one...
V-twin _heritage_ sound.
The original Africa Twin was a V-twin...the new Africa Twin has a 270-degree crank to aid in recapturing that original _heritage_ sound.
360° crankpin arrangement on a p-twin would be even-firing, just like removing the center two cylinders on an i-4.
180° crankpin arrangement on a p-twin would be raspy, more popular in smaller engines like a Kawasaki Z650.
270° crankpin arrangement on a p-twin has the same firing order of a Ducati, pins separated by 90°. Hence the pleasing rumble.
What's more telling about any given multi-cylinder engine configuration is the separation between the crankpins (assuming they aren't sharing the same pin). You can have a boxer twin (like BMW) and p-twin producing the exact same tone because the firing order is the exact same, regardless of the direction the cylinders are pointing.
The same principle applies between p-twins and V-twins. You can achieve identical firing order between a Ducati L-twin and a parallel, by phasing the crankpins 90° apart on the p-twin, or simply splitting the cylinders 90° apart and keeping the same crank pin. Engine balance is different between them, but the timing of the pulses leaving the exhaust system are identical.
I see the africa twin and just assumed it was crumble video XD cool vid RJ :)
That sounds incredible.
sounds awesome and the way the header pipes made and coloured is cool I like coloured pipes they look way better than stainless steel
The sounds...
Amazing
Great sound, thanks for showing us. RSM8
I think it's the first time i've heard a touring bike sound seriously good.
The headers looks gorgeous, but the stock setup produces a lovely deep rumble that Ducati would be proud to call their own. I wouldn't be messing with it.
wow that is amazing
i can't wait to get a bike
At the end it almost sounded like the Nuda! Agree that it has unleashed a great sound!
It's amazing what those parallel twins can do if you put in a decent muffler eg. TDM850, Nuda and the new Africa Twin.
...lovely tones!
Sounds Awesome!!!
Awesome look and sound.
This sound is beautiful
That is a very very nice Bike. Thanks for the video.
Sounds fantastic
Time to grab the tissue box and lotion
jeremy plsssss
jeremy pls
I hear you snowhite & it does have a nice growl, have to remind myself that we don't have the same tight restrictions in Australia that Europe & the U.S. Have on emissions. But it's probably coming our way at some stage.
Sounds lovely
Wow awesome looking headers 👍👌
The Best sound of AT. Nice job
😁
Just don't crash it like fousey
MadMooseDisease Fousey is a moron... RJ doesn't crash he is a god.
Exactly
BiLL93x He can barely figure out how to start it
RJ is an amazing rider
foushit is just a rich idiot
beautiful bike !
That's why you should ride that tiger ! adventure bikes all day
Sounds reminiscent of the RC51's 1 liter V-Twin. I wish Honda would bring that bike back in small production by using this motor and increasing the compression just a tad and modifying the timing. Maybe even de-stroking and boring the pistons a bit for a sportier power curve. Even if it had just 125hp, it would be such a lovable bike.
7:37 wow! never expected that sound out of that bike
Such a beautiful bike.. I test rode one today it was the automatic version - Kind of weird tbh, but I can see the benefit of it, though i wouldnt want it.. Its just too weird not being able to shift.. - I feel like I could ride for a week on this bike everyday houndreds and houndreds of KM's, and i'd be comfortable as all.. It feels like it weighs _nothing_ . The only downside imo was the screen.. it made alot of windnoise, but I'm sure that could be fixed..
What a bike!
Nice bike and nice sound! 🏍🙌
Hey RJ i love ur vids :)
Thats sound is amazing ! :D
such an awesome sound
Great video. Looks like the 998cc motor has more than enough power, which was one of my concerns with this bike. Still would love Honda to make a 1200cc 25L fuel capacity version and I would not even look at any other brand. It would own the market for big adventure tourers. Thanks for posting, and yeh it sounds f&*%$+g awesome !!
That would sound even better if you went true dual with it. I’d love to hear how that sounds!
That's an awesome sound wow
holy moly, thats a nice sound
Testing loud pipes with background tablet stating "the nap", genius :)
RJ if you would have to buy an adventure/trail bike which will you buy the africa twin or the 1200 gs???
Love these vids RJ more talkative vids
This bike is insane even on road driving/city driving!
oh dear i want a crazy dual sport like that!
Sounds great
Sounded great when you started the test ride.
Damn that sounds awesome
ronco animal jordanian show de bola parabéns pelo video mano!
What a sound!
Beautifully engineered. Lifts the whole bike. Makes the AT sound like something else entirely. Lovely result.
Crumble get your arse into gear. Is there a noticeable performance increase from the standard AT. When I rode it I thought performance wise it was underwhelming and could of done with something to make it more lively.
Interesting company thanks RJ.
Saw the dyno chart, adds 2 BHP and an increase in mid range torque.
@@royaljordanian did u remap?
That's just sounds sick. I wonder if they have one for a 2016 Triumph Tiger.
Thankx RJ, now i need to change my pants, the sound is just that good
Sounds awesome bouncing off the rev limiter!
bro listen im jumping all over the place i love it ill need an exhaust for my next bike please..
That s1000rr looks good!
wow i love this bike
Wow that sounds amazing. Most parking lot revs sound identical and lame.
what a bike!
That sound is very much RJ worthy
Fantastic nice video.
Damn, those must be quite expensive. Sounds really great, though.
which exhaust sounds better make ur bike perform better to yes or no?
If Regular Car Reviews do go to the UK, it'd be awesome if you could let them review one of your bikes
Nice video! Did you have traction control on? It rides much better without it.
Removing the CAT do you have to have the bike tuned after because that is just Amazing
its a fantastic bike , my dealer cant get any in right now till Jan next year due to the earthquake at the factory where they were being built..so they tell me..
RJ could you do a review of the 300cc category?
What happened with the guard plate under the engine?.... doesn't it fit after installation?
Can anyone tell me if you think getting a new exhaust will make the bike loud enough to be noticed? I'm coming from a Ducati which is loud enough to make people look when they are about to hit you. (My thumb is short enough that it takes too long to get to the horn while keeping enough grib to quickly maneuver)
seems quite quiet at low revs on the video did it have a nice rumble at idle or was it really that quiet when your stood next to the bike.
Did they mapped the bike after putting those pipes? Has it been in a Dyno?
Will we be seeing some custom systems for any of RJ's bikes?
I'm sure we will :)
what about the performance?
good sound
Rj i like all your videos am always watching them i did a subscribe to your instagram and now u got a like and subscribe here in your youtube channel Take care .
If they make one for a speed triple il def order one. 👍
its a lovely bike
