      I really dont understand people man.
      I can understand the power gain by allowing exhaust to remove more gas but why the hell you'd want a roaring sound?
      I have a crf 250l and one of my favourite things about this bike is how it sounds; it is very silent, in woods first thing that youll hear when it approaches is the scream of the valves, NOT the engine thump. and I love it. reminds me of the scream of GE9X :D
      but gotta admit: the thumpy sound of Africa twin İS good. because you can actually still hear the valves.

      Bandit 500 looks really nice though I'm hearing it's sound pretty often on nearby roads. But I'm not sure if I like it. It's impressive but I'd like to hear a higher pitch, you know? Like an f1 engine :D

    Thanks for the video. I was able to get all my bolts out without breaking, which apparently is a very common problem. I started the engine from cold and as it idled I gently began loosening them. As the muffler began to heat up they all came out very easy. I checked the parts breakdown and you can buy a new pair of spark arrestors for less than $150 if you ever want to put it back to factory spec.

    • @zugmeister314
      @zugmeister314 Před rokem

      I thought the problem wasn't with burning the exhaust valves but warping them. If you cut your muffler off and don't have a long enough exhaust pipe cold air can get pushed over to the incredibly hot exhaust valve and cause it to warp. Why would the absence of backpressure burn a valve?

But that being said I’m sure the effects are pretty minimal either way. The only thing I noticed is it’s got a little throatier deeper sound. I'll probably put an aftermarket exhaust (header and all) at some point. I just figured in the meantime that would be a cheap and easy little experiment.

      @KJ Rants get yourself a muffler from 2018/19 AT. They are 2 chamber compared to 2016/17 which are 3 chamber. 2 Chamber much better sounding, more deep rumble sound.
