  • Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College welcomes you to our third annual Dr. Keith Cassidy Lecture. This event is being livestreamed here on Tuesday, February 15 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
This lecture series, established in honour of Professor Emeritus of History and past president of the College, Dr. Keith Cassidy, involves a yearly lecture by a noted intellectual on a topic of interest to the academic community.
This year's speaker, Dr. Brad Gregory of the University of Notre Dame, speaks on the topic of "The Reformation Era and the Unintended Secularization of Knowledge." Professor Gregory's fascinating research into the ways in which the Protestant Reformation in Europe led to the secularization of society, and intellectual life in particular, has gained him an international reputation for excellence and originality in historical scholarship.

Very sound conclusion: Academy without reconfesionalizing should desecularize itself. Thanks for this talk.
