- For storytelling, players-driven worldbuilding tools are something to behold. This video breaks down the advances we made in giving power to the players specifically thanks to the rise of the survival genre in the recent decade. I talk about what it means and why it's important for storytelling and persistent gameworlds.

why is this unlisted? I just found this video from another discussion, but this video is great :>
Ok so i watched your video on game engines and such. Ive played a lot of dayz cause its the most sandbox thing I have ever played and the more time that passes I have become more obsessed with possibly sticking together an mmo. It was a trip to find your videos cause now im reinvested in the idea all over again.
love your series
I like tier 2.5 the mix between both tier 3 and tier 2
Nice to have another video from you. Was missing your cool distinctive voice :) Often while watching I am wondering where is that scene from??? Would be awesome if you could add source title names to all the scenes (or at least the ones on the screen lasting more than a second), and not just a few, assuming that isnt too expensive timewise. Some of that world building looked very impressive. I guess one day we will all be in the Oasis with the vast majority of these features.
Yea I figured I should've added a note about that, it's taken from:
UE4 Medieval Game Environment by Quixel
Book of the Dead by Unity
Game engine ability demos basically, not actual games. "Cool distinctive voice" :) I like that, thanks
Why don't you do a breakdown of the GTA roleplay scene? It probably has the best players to heavyRP ratio
GTA ? From my experience, not so much. Rather, text RP tends to be much more heavyRP-hardcore, especially in dated mediums like MUD's or old games like Neverwinter Nights.
@@Larpushka totally, Im referring to the text only RP servers like GTA World (or LSRP on San Andreas but that's dying now). I agree with your other point and Armageddon mud is probably the best quality roleplay server I've ever seen - but the players are soooo few compared to GTA, GTA isn't horrible either.
@@Larpushka I actually found your channel while searching for Armageddon MUD - like role-playing servers. Sadly it seems this interest of ours is very niche and most people are too "normal" to care about this :( so there aren't as many options outside of say, literally just playing online DnD (but that's not the same)
GTA text-based RP is one popular option out there though
