The copilot assists the pilot during flight, including handling the radio communications, navigation, and working with the pilot to complete the many checklists involved with flying an aircraft. The pilot may turn control over to the copilot even if the pilot doesn't leave the cockpit.

why 2 pilot need in aircraft?
= The primary reason for having two pilots on every flight is safety. Obviously, if something happens to the captain, a plane must have another pilot who can step in. Additionally, the first officer provides a second opinion on piloting decisions, keeping pilot error to a minimum.

No, they need 2 pilots because that increases the efficiency of the work, one pilot does the checklist and the other steers the aircraft. More over having just 1 pilot would cause him to have alot of stress and responsibility, so it's better to have 2

Been on this fantastic aircraft three times and it is absolutely huge inside and the reason why there is always two pilots is because in case one pilot goes down sick with food poisoning or has a heart attack and also both pilots eat completely different meals so both of them are not sick leaving one pilot to still fly the aircraft safely and normally these bigger aircraft all come with three pilots and the 3rd pilot is the flight engineer who is keeping an eye on everything making sure the plane is running smoothly without any problems i used to work on aircraft myself so just testing my noliage to see if I am right or not!

1, 2, 3 or 4 pilots, Depends on type of aircraft.
Mostly GA aircraft can be fly by 1 pilot, but in twin engine, they could need 2 pilots to fly it, because those pilots can shares the situational awarness inside or outside the aircraft, or in case of emergency and of course, make the job a lot easier. (In case of operating those systems, flying or navigating).
