  • Toward the end of last year, I was able to purchase a Stowaway Max Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier for added hauling capacity when participating in art festivals around the region. When not traveling to art shows, I use the Stowaway Max to carry camping gear and other equipment and, with the added Buffet Board, as a cooking surface when car camping.

    You could just drill 2 holes in the back of that plastic board. Then bend 2 pieces of coat-hanger wire into squared-off S-hooks (like the tops of the provided hooks, but on both ends). Then, just HANG the back of the board on the hooks. The board would never come off the hooks unless you lifted it up. Why they choose that design just boggles my mind. That's the kind of design that employees do when they hate their boss. 😂

      ha! I do think your suggestion would make it far more stable. Using just the included hooks, it moves a lot during use, which is a bit sketchy when you've got a stove on it. :)
