That's sad, we have waaay too many burger spots and not many seafood spots
Bc its supply and demand
Because prices too. Burger and their unknown meats versus real seafood.
@@MrMannyhw so pple want bad food vs real food. No surprise there.
Cooking at home is better anyway.
It's just too dang expensive to eat out anywhere nowadays. And paying a tip is expected.
The last time we ate at a RL was about 4 months ago. I remember thinking how empty the place was at dinner time. You take a couple having dinner there with a couple of drinks, plus a tip and you got a $100 tab. Toss in a couple of kiddos and you racked up a $150 ticket for dinner. With the economy the way it is, the average family or couple aint eating out, especially at high priced RL.
high price and small portions how the mighty will fall and olive garden won't be far behind.
@rickystarduster I agree with you, brother. I give it 3 months or less, and Olive Garden is going to start closing down.
Exactly
Cook at home, it will be less disappointing than going to a restaurant blowing money
go to a buffet and bring your Tupperware and steal food. Don't have to cook and you get your money's worth
@@pacman3556 make sure its glass
Bam Son
@@pacman3556they have cameras at the restaurants now 👀👀👀😂😂😂
Haven't been for about a year. The food wasn't too bad but the price was way too much.
Paying 100$ for service? Lol. Chinatown has cheap fresh lobsters.
But they don't cook it the same way in Chinatown though
I only pay 9.89 a pound for my lobsters here in east end Toronto at an asian grocery store. Loblaws is charging 26$ a pound.
@@sweetmotogal6 Yep. Chinatown lobsters and crab and seafood is delicious.
@@bonbonvegabon if you are east end of Toronto try Diana's Seafood on Lawrence between Warden and Birchmount (near Crockford Blvd). Or Beaver Fishery on Milner (just east of McCowan). Both are supposed to be great price and selection on all types of seafood. There are also a few asian grocery stores in the area (Topps on Lawrence near Brimley, Jain Hing Markham and Lawrence, Al Premium Warden and Eglinton, Skyland Scarborough Golf Club an Lawrence are just a few).
@@pacman3556 thx dude
Ugh. The endless shrimp promotion was horrible. Any of the shrimp style we wanted weren't available.
The million dollar question is, will it be a re-session or a de-pression?
I was shocked when I ate at RL recently. 4 baby wee wee shrimps on a toothpick, 1/2 cup rice, mostly all crab for $35 a dish. Many various ways of cooking tiny wee wee ships, and barely any lobster on the menu.
Perhaps due to overfishing of Atlantic lobsters.
It’s crazy expensive.
Endless shrimp permanent. Lol. Fire everyone. Bad mismanagement and marketing.
Use all your gift cards before they don't accept it. Immigration plays a factor for our beloved stores closing.
probably. if they get rid of immigrants, they won't have anyone to work for their crappy pay.
My family and I were regular, but after my kids got food poisoning from the food, they refused to go back.
Over priced, over rated.
Many chains will go under...the dark side of hi minimum wage, 20 % inflation due to Dildeau and the high cost of food products and wages losing ground to hi inflation. This isn't a surprise. The other day my wife and I had 2 burger combos at Harvey's...$34. Well, many chains will feel the pinch
Agree. 2 burger combos should be at most 20. 16 with coupon.
High minimum wage? If you can't afford to pay your employees a enough to live on then you shouldn't be in business. You have a cr@ppy business model if you have to relay on slave labor
But, Dudley Do-Right and JB said everything is going great. It's only going to get worse.
What? You're measuring two North American economies by the absence or availability of a crappy "seafood" chain "restaurant"? You must be a regular there.
All the seafood is going to Asia.
Trudeau’s Canada is tough times
Should have all you can eat biscuits.
Perhaps you have heard of the case of Homer Simpson versus The Frying Dutchman . Apparently Mr Simpson engaged the all you can eat buffet for several hours . Eventually being physically removed by Management.
Fortunately Mr Simpson retained Springfields finest lawyer Lionel Hutz who helped resolve the case.
How stupid are they? Poor marketing
Welcome to Trudeau's and Singh's Canada 😏
They're an American company
The ones they're closing are all in the States, so those two have nothing to do with this. Besides, with the way things have been going, it was only a matter of time before this happened.
@@bluebear1985BIDEN HARRIS = DILDEAU FREELOADER
This is going to affect the base of the fishing community not just in the east coast USA, but Atlantic Canada also.
Who went to eat there anyway!😂🤣🦞
It makes me shudder to imagine.
Yes government has caused all the problems huge inflation government high taxes government econo y tanking government lock downs government
If you feel that way then you need to go out and get a job in an actual company so you can FINALLY see how business operates. :) You sound like a little boy who blames his sister for everything. Is not very bright.
