How to beat Cosmic Ocean without popping any orbs

A new discovery that makes skipping all orbs possible without needing frame perfect input. (This was patched in version 1.22.6)
Some tips for actually attempting it: Any mount works, but Qilin is most useful and you can get Qilin every run.
Going Tide Pool gives you clone gun for more resources, going Temple gives you Alien Compass to find the exit more easily.
You also need to get a Hired Hand and keep him alive. For doing the Qilin skip make sure not to make Tiamat spawn enemies so that the sleeping HH doesn't die.
Juggling Qilin and the bow is difficult, especially on Hundun when you need to break regen blocks.
For CO it's important to keep Qilin alive. You might have a lot of HP or a Kapala, Qilin has 4 HP and that's it.

If you keep working on it, I'm sure you'll get there. I used to feel that way too, especially since I have very little experience with platformers and stuff.
Of course, if it's more effort than you want to put in, that's fine and super understandable. I probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for some coincidences… and Overlunky. It's amazing for learning and practice.

Part of me wonders if Derek will leave this in. Spelunky has always embraced difficult and risky skips. What’s more risky than a nearly pixel perfect trick you have to do 95 times in a row in order to skip the intended CO method?
