Hi Jim, I must say: I'm 53, played guitar almost all my life, loved banjo because my extended family all played bluegrass music, so in the early 1990s my wife bought me a banjo, a book, and a tape (PRE INTERNET). I tried for a few months, learned a few rolls, and gave up (MY BAD). This Christmas my wife asked for a banjo and I got her one. She zeroed in on your videos and learned pretty fast, so I bought myself another banjo and now we are both learning/re learning. In 3 weeks of watching your vids I have gotten way (WAY) beyond where I was years ago after trying for months. Your teaching style is perfect, and your personality is facilitating! Thanks for the fun!!

This was so much fun to learn! Two months ago, I saw your first beginner banjo lesson and did just as you told me: I dug out that old banjo that I had bought when I was 17, then found out wasn't "cool" in college, and that I hadn't touched since. Your arrangements for beginners are easy to learn (with your help) but they sound so much more sophisticated than the tunes I learned 40 years ago. Thanks so much for your help!

Re: the rhythm of the cripple creek slide, is it "1 e and" or "1 and a"? ie is it 2 16ths followed by an 8th note, or is it an 8th note followed by 2 16ths? Or is it somewhere in between and depends on what sound you're going for? In your tab, the way I read it, you have the end of the 2-4 slide coming at the same time as the open 2nd string.
