first of all THESE PLANES ARE NOT NEW THEY ARE NEARLY 16 YEARS OLD EX-DELTA AIRLIENS PLANES . Air India is having 4 of the in their fleet which were brought from delta to increase its capacity fast. These planes ARE FITTED WITH DELTA AIRLIENS CABIN AND NOT AIR INDIA'S CABIN. PSS Air India will be having premium economy in its future plane (deliveries should start from early 2024). So don't expect a world class premium economy from this cabin(as delta has one of the worst premium economy cabin in the industry) . It can be expected from future air India cabin.
This was only for your information and not to criticize you as i love aviation.
the aircraft is VT-AEH which was originally delivered to delta airlines on april 2009 and served till 2020 and now currently air india took it on lease, the aircraft age is 14.5 years
I don’t think its VT-AEH, That plane mainly does the Long Haul Flights.

21:00 - There is no Premium Economy in AI Domestic except for a handful of sectors mainly used to position the 777 aircraft. Therefore the meals etc are same as economy. Domestically PE whether it exists or not will be known after Vistara merger is complete.
The person is holding business class boarding pass, while describing premium economy. This can be clearly seen many times between time 7 & 8 minutes of play

Yeah, thats why only the seats were premium economy and not the food. Coz Air India just retained the hard product of premium economy but they are yet to introduce the soft product related to meals.

Thanks for the informative video. Disagree on the food part though. After having traveled multiple other premier economy carriers, food is not the usp for a flight, comfort is.

Nothing great except for little more leg room. The pouch with eye mask, socks, etc., steel cutlery, and hot towels are given on Emirates economy class too on international flights. Emirates also has good selection of Indian movies in Economy. Premium Economy is expensive for the little extra perks you get.
Traveled Air India premium economy it is awesome. Very comfortable.
PS: I didn’t like Mumbai airport lot of walking and checking 😣

use of Premium economy depend on aircraft and service provider , well you will have by default have wider seats ,more leg space and less people around, very useful when you travel over 12 hrs non stop , you should try vistara from Singapore to Delhi A 320 , in same BUSINESS class once and comment , before that do some home work

Its not a Business class so please dont expect so much from premium economy. You don't get different food in Premier Economy in Domestic sector. Just a more spacious seat. 🙂

That is misleading. It is not Air India's Premium Economy but that of Delta the old owners of the plane. That plane is mostly used for the American Market and does a ferry flight every day from Mumbai to Delhi before its international flight

this is not the new premium economy of air india ,its the just the default delta premium economy ,air indias ones will be only retrofitted from 2024
I just booked a indigo flight economy without food and anything else for 9k on 17th of Nov from Ahmedabad to Kolkata. Flight prices have skyrocketed. You got a good deal bro. Be safe and enjoy life.
Flight prices to and fro from Ahmedabad have increased coz of World Cup...
Also ur traveling after Diwali and post Diwali it's a week complete holiday in whole of Gujarat and Gujaratis travel a lot during that period.
So ultimately impacts flight prices
No idea why the hell airlines have high prices in India, almost everywhere there are cheaper airlines more so for the domestic flights.

These are just refurbished Delta aircrafts which have been repainted with the Air India livery. I have travelled by Delta premium frequently, its those same seats :)

Hey harry, I recently went on a trip with my father on air india's premium economy on that 777's sister aircraft, VT-AEG, except I flew from San Francisco, US to Bombay. The service was better than the domestic service, but just letting you know, they have a better service on the international flights.

@harry's vlogs to let you know It was bought by Delta in 2018 and is now being used by Air India they are refurbishment there seats and all, and they will have 470 new Boeing and Airbus planes 6 of the A350 900s will be In service this year and the seat's there using right now are from the delta, and will be changed to bright pink or bright red after modification, they will have bright pink first class seat's and also, there getting resources from Singapore airlines they have 25% stakes of air India so, we might see air india buy the A380 soon enough which I'm awaiting for.

Don`t complain regards the security. The reason you and many other bharatians can fly safe and happily everyday is because our jawans at the borders (Yes international airports are kinda borders too) serve the country and it`s people 24/7. Without them and their service to secure and take actions when needed, can lead to very sad endings. Jai Hind Jai Bharat !

I am surprised that harry missed out on one important thing about this premium economy segment in Air India. And being someone who travels in flights a lot, he should have known that.
And if he had known that, he would have understood why the meals which were given to him were same as the economy one. But instead of deep diving into it, he just resorted to complaining as usual in the end of the video.

Yeah but being a customer his point was 8k for PE but didn't feel it was worth it. Simply, you can choose not to travel in that class - but airlines aim was to differentiate lower middle class from upper middle classes. Food is the same. Some like vloggers who don't have an occupation won't feel that class inequality what an official vs clerk/ Manager vs employee/ doctor vs nurse would want to pay for here.

It's not brand new. It's a Boeing 777-200LR that Delta stopped using after many years.
Air India took it on lease for now.
But it's still much better than the older Air-India Boeing aircrafts.

As it is lounges are over crowded because many credit card holders have access to it. You don’t want Premium Economy passengers access to the lounges.
