You should prefer both hands...and add some weights as a progressive overload...

A beginner won't be able to do it at the first place, only after they can hang with both hands for atleast 30secs it will be possible.

Strech marks r the proof of your hard work i have all over my body but if you still want it to remove then there are creams available but make the marks dont turn white apply it when it is still red.
