- Star Wars: Tales of the Empire is an all-new six-episode anthology series of stories off the heels of the original Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. Take a look at the trailer showcasing the series' two main stories centered around Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee as they serve the Empire on one singular path to the dark side of the Force. The trailer also shows fan-favorite characters such as Grand Admiral Thrawn and the legendary General Grievous.
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire premieres on May 4 exclusively on Disney Plus.

Could be cool to have a little Merrin (Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order) cameo when Grievous attack Dathomir Witches. She told Cal she remembered an armoured warrior with sabers when she was a kid.
I’m hoping for the same! Even if it’s just a glimpse of her, I’d love to see her referenced.

This trailer breezed right past Grand Admiral Thrawn, easily the best villian heir to the Empire.

He wasnt a villain in Heir to the Empire. I'd call him one of the main characters without a second thought. Man literally has 7 books dedicated to him.

The thing is, there never was a true “Heir” to the Empire, because the Empire only ever had one true leader: its founder and Emperor, Darth Sidious/Palpatine.
Even if Thrawn wasn’t merely a servant of the Emperor, Palpatine was never really gone in the first place for an heir to be necessary. The Empire only has one leader, and no heir.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one

Bringing back Bariss and fleshing out Morgan is genius, we need more of this in Star Wars there's so much untapped potential and content that can be produced and so much world building and lore that can be added and fleshed out in the prequel era alone, not even mentioning the old republic and empire eras

Vader at least in the comics seems to constantly dwell into visions of his past when he encounters past events or characters when he was still Anakin.
