BUILD AND CATCH! The boys, Lee and Tony pick up a DIY soft plastics lure kit online and put it to the ultimate test! Cooking up a plastic microwave storm in the shed, making a few different types of lures and then heading down to the river to see if they work!

I like the idea of making my own plastics, but I worry about the economy of it. Also I've got to say that rubber steam when it comes out of the microwave is a real worry, I know you guys are videoing, but next time without the video I'd go masks for sure.

It’s a good idea to wear a respirator. As far as the economy, you can keep all your torn up plastics and melt and reuse them or even get the super cheap discount plastics and melt those.
You can buy new plastisol too if you’d like but it can be super cheap or super expensive depending on the route you take.

of all the fishing baits out there the soft plastics have been my most challenging. i have gotten better with them but they are still a final resort rather then a go to.
Yeah they are a lot slower than the divers and spinner but we find ya can get into better snags where the big boys will be hiding 😊 takes a bit of patients 🍻

Gee they turned out really go well done next time you melt plastic put a fan on the opposite of your door so it blows the plastic smell out the door I do the same making sinkers 👍
