- (1-7-21) Here are some totally original Otis Autotronic elevators with the touch buttons! I'm surprised a place like this would still have the original elevators! These elevators only serve the lobby and 15-25.

Amazing that a city as big as Buffalo still has some of these in its downtown area.
Ya but it's kinda hard to get into some. Two buildings turned us away
Amazing elevators!
Yes they are!
know most of you are used to seeing the European style door tracks on newer elevators such as Schindler MRLs. I guess you're wondering why such operator is installed on a very old Otis. This is because Otis was the very first company in the word to make such operators. They're easiest to find on Otis elevators in Class-A office buildings. This is because the technology of that era was not as advanced as today's, and door operators had more moving parts, which rendered them more expensive. Nowadays, these problems have been eliminated with the invention of microprocessor door controls and spring loaded coupling systems, rendering their modern counterparts less expensive to produce.
Amazing find
the fan lol
It's amazing how thin that door track is, especially when these were first put in.
Yeah its really small.
This is absolutely cool. The annunciator is pretty rare.
annunciator is the best part.
Epic!!!
Wow, these are cool
Yeah they are!
Incredible
Gotta love autotronic!
@@stlelevators yippie
I like those thin doors
I do too.
I love the door track on this
Me too

Decent speed lift
If there could only be one type of elevator on earth and all the rest were taken away, I'd pick these for the survivors. I don't think I'd ever get sick of them even if they were absolutely everywhere.
I LOVE autotronics!
Same here! I completely agree man!
COP button lenses might be replaced?
Doubt it.
Sadly this building is now requiring visitors and tenants to check in with security prior to getting on the elevators, and when I talked to security, they let me ride, but they didn't want me filming as they didn't want the building to become a tourist attraction. Needless to say, I was pretty upset by this, but on a positive note, they DID let me ride (with a security guard accompanying me, Alex and Daniel) and they also told me these elevators likely wouldn't be modernized anytime soon.
They either 1. saw our videos and didn't like it or 2. homeless people were coming in and harassing tenants.
@@stlelevators You're probably right.
Security was still awesome and it’s nice they still let us check it out.
@@geneseetrainselevators2448 Still, given that I live over 1000 miles away and was looking forward to seeing these, I'm upset I wasn't able to get a video of them
@@FloridianElevators I know the pain, my friend. I’m sorry you couldn’t video them…
Why is the top floor button marked 25/26?
I bet there’s a shuttle elevator up to 26
@@stlelevators There isn't. I asked the security guard who took me on these, and he told me that the 26th floor can only be accessed by a staircase that requires a badge to enter.
