Those are excellent! Out of all the times I've been to Buffalo, I can't believe I've never been there!
Amazing and beautiful. Wow!
They were very nice. Ran very well.
Fun fact. I you want to know something about the doors. Those were the very first door operators in the world ever made to incorporate the slim European-style doors. these operators are the Otis 6970A-Close-coupled (mechanical) and the less popular 7660 (Linear). The reason not many were produced was because the technology in those days was not as advanced as today's and more moving parts were required. Most are easiest to find in Class-A office buildings. Otis still makes European style doors, but the new ones are only slim on the shaft side (similar to KONE). Schindler (Fermator, Sematic, & Alyans) are fully European; as well as, KONE telescopic.
That’s awesome
I really like touches, so neat to find
And they got the European doors!
These are awesome. Macy's at Broward Mall has an Otis Lexan, & at Coral Square, Macy's Men's has an 80s Westinghouse & they also have one with black universal at Kohl's. & dont forget pembroke lakes, where the macys has a scenic beach elevator.
I like the unusual gap between the cab and landing doors. Very narrow.
nice
Sounds like the doors need some oil.
Sadly this building is now requiring visitors and tenants to check in with security prior to getting on the elevators, and when I talked to security, they let me ride, but they didn't want me filming as they didn't want the building to become a tourist attraction. Needless to say, I was pretty upset by this, but on a positive note, they DID let me ride (with a security guard accompanying me, Alex and Daniel) and they also told me these elevators likely wouldn't be modernized anytime soon.
I wonder why the change.
@@DieselDucy Talked to a security lady and she said part of it was COVID protocol, but idk why other than that
Wow those are the oldest I’ve seen!
European-like thin doors, that’s unusual!
I hope these will not be modernized!
Other companies make European doors in the US. KONE and Schindler. Even the newer Otis have em (only on shaft side panels though).
cool elevator but I don't like lexan
there is a lot of missing number buttons 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
