Yes, agree with your comments. As you mentioned, routine is part of the key. Certainly diet is important especially in the early days.

Yes, very informative. I do have a subject you may want to touch on in one of your videos. That is boarding your Greyhounds.
I’ve heard of traumatic experiences taking place when Greyhound owners decide to take their pets to a boarding kennel which houses all varieties of dogs. Personally I do not believe Greyhounds should ever be left in this situation. Of course their is no perfect solution. I do believe if you are able to find another Greyhound owner willing to accept your pets into their home is very close to the perfect situation for you and your Greyhounds. Not much separation anxiety for you are your pets. Owning Greyhounds is an epiphany. Love your calming voice and lovely smile. Again, thanks for your videos.

Thank you 😊 i had a dreadful experience boarding my first greyhound and would never do it again. That would be a tricky subject to cover!

@@jwcaninecare Agreed. I was very fortunate to find a lady within our group. It’s an adoptive organization located in my state of Louisiana here in the states. (Greyhound Pets Of America, Louisiana/Mississippi)

In Australia we have pet sitters who will come to your home, or will take the dog into their home. I don’t have a greyhound yet, but my idea is to find a pet sitter who can be like a second home to my dog. I go away quite often to see my family, so need to have that regular backup. My terrier loved the kennel, but it seems like greyhounds are quite unlike other dogs!

Do you recommend a raw diet

I would go with what works for your dog, your budget and your available storage space. At the same time, if they are doing well on their current food i wouldn't rush to change it

If a greyhound does present signs of stress or worry, what are the best ways to calm them down, other than a calming spray?

Hi Tiana, have a look at my fireworks video - that is mostly about calming a nervous dog down so the ideas there would apply in this situation too
