RIP Daisy. Just lost our second greyhound George, aged nearly 11,bad arthritis and his weight loss forced our decision. Grief stricken but so grateful to have had him in our lives,the house feels so empty 😢

Could you name any makes or where I could get them please. My girl does slip 😮

My dad was a police dog handler and trainer he taught me to feed kibble and wet food in the same bowl he used bear hands to mix it ! ( I use rubber gloves but dogs love it 🐶! Thanks Jill for sensible advice as always 😊

We adopted a greyhound and he showed no sleep startle. However, today, twice, he had sleep startle that scared both the cats and the humans in the house. We experienced an earthquake that was a 5 on the Richter scale earlier and he was terrified. Im wondering if this actually triggered the sudden onset of sleep startle we've now witnessed.

Look at Flopster.. he clearly adores you Jill. It's beautiful to see.. I suspect they will actually all settle quicker than you think they will. When I first got Codie, I was living in two places - London and Northamptonshire. I had the first 2 weeks at home with the boy and then had to return to work - but I didn't go down to my place in London for 6 weeks. I was so nervous about how he was going to adapt etc. etc. I needn't have been. Within 2 visits to town, he knew exactly where everything was, understood that our daily routine was different when in London than at "the other place" and slotted right in. For a naturally anxious dog, he did unbelievably well - and has always done so whenever we've been off visiting family or friends, or on holiday. He wants to know where his feeding station is, where his bed is AND where he toilets. That's about it. Good luck for the move Jill!

You sound really well organised. But it's stressful moving, let alone trying to cope with dogs as well. You've thought of everything! The dogs are in great hands.

God moving an absolute nightmare, I have done it numerous times. I had no real choice but to put mine in kennels. The difference being that they seem to have loved it there. I wish you good.luck in your new house, and I'm sure the guys will love it there. Look forward to the live stream. XX

Wishing you and the gang a (as smooth as can be) resettlement period. Your pups are incredibly lucky to have your knowledge and planning on their side. I have only one dog and no plans to move, but keeping a mental note of all solutions to problems in case we ever need them when welcoming a new family member to our pack.

When are you moving Jill? I hope with all my heart that it all goes through for you. I know when I moved down to Devon from Oxfordshire with my two precious cats, they were the most important thing to me to get settled before I did. My rescue greyhound Madge notices anything that changes, so to move house would not be good for her I feel, unless there was a lovely garden for her to do her zoomies in of course, which we do not have here! Aww. I feel real bad for Gandalf...🥹 My dog Edwin has a ball thingy like a fish... I call it Flying Fish and it's gone and got torn up... So I've bought an identical one played a game with the old one, sleight of hand and as if by magic - 🪄🎩🧙‍♀️ new flying fish was in the game, as if nothing had ever happened to it. 🐠🎉🎊🥳..I hope Gandalf will find his inner wizard at this very difficult time and magic will happen for him too. 😅⚾ Lovely Gandalf, I'm wishing upon a star ✨ or 3. 🥰
