Why the Benelli supernova might be the best pump shotgun for waterfowl hunting
The benelli supernova is one of the best if not the best pump shotgun I have ever handeled it shoots extremely reliably and smoothly. Its got a high quality gas system that shoots cleanly and is easily cleaned. The supernova is also manufactured by one of the most reputable shotgun brands on the market that has an amazing track record with several of their guns being used by many militaries around the world most notably with the us military and the benelli m4
The supernova is an upgraded version of the benelli nova. The supernova has an upgraded gas system and a much higher quality stock than the nova called the comfortech stock the supernova also has a different styled trigger guard that has 30% more room for more reliable usage with gloves. The most noticeable upgrade is the push-button shell stop which allows a chambered shell to be removed without releasing rounds from the magazine
The shell stop allows you to stop the mag tube from chambering another round when the gun is pumped when holding the shell stop button. This allows you to chamber a different round than you already had loaded which can be great in a couple of different circumstances one of which is if you go duck hunting you are able to load a 3.5” shell instead of the standard 3” shell you use for duck when you see a flock of geese flying in
The supernova is equipped with a ventilated rib which has a rear metal ball and red front fiber sight and can be sold in a tactical configuration that has ghost ring sights and a pic rail for optics mounting. I have several, I agree, they are at least the most under rated of all the waterfowl guns....Super reliable, and tough...No gas though, bro- No Benelli has the gas system...Also, the standard nova also has the button-

I'm planning on doing a video of it at the range when the weather is nicer. Everything is way too muddy where I'm at to go out into the field and shoot
I'm also looking into maybe getting a go pro with a gun mount to film some of the shooting comps I compete in later this year
