Love to see Lothlorien get some love, they were the first faction I played that got me into MESBG and I feel they can be really underrated. Some seem to say that Rivendell and Mirkwood are levels above them but if Loth is played right it takes people by surprise.
I look forward to the next episode "Citrus Fruits - A Tier List" to see you debate if an actual lemon should go in lemon.

late to the party but posting to inform other latecomers. not sure what shire weed has been smoked, but its affecting their judgement :D khazad dum has spear supports. it has really freaking good spear supports. warden teams are really good PLUS they dont have to stick together, you can have a D9 shielding blocker (sadly with -1 to duels) and slap a S4 spear behind a hearth or iron guard for utterly stupid killing power. (plus army bonus) i am truly confused as to how Ash can rate iron hills so highly but khazad so low when you can build the same shield wall with D9 for half a point per model more (24 for two iron hills, or 25 for a warden team) and still have half a dozen other troop options and a bunch of heroes in khazad.
I think this was the birth of the Ash hating Khazad-dum narrative on this channel 😂 They definitely don't have spears in the traditional sense which was the general point I think - but we've given the faction much more love in recent months as Sam started taking them to some events this year, and we've since recruited Ali King who's an incredibly experienced player with the list!
for example at 500 you could run a king and kings champ, 6 warden teams, 9 rangers (or warriors) with bows, three iron guard and a warrior with shield. got 29 models, great stats, got supports, got decent shooting plus throwing weapons two F6 D8* heroes, got strike got march got resolve(not great but its something against massed magic) two banners with fate (possible D9 as well). could drop a ranger for throwing weapons on all the rest. downside is quite low might but i reckon its still solid. other list builds by request 😆

@@GollumGamers aye. just me venting cause im biased as heck. first army and i got some of my models at initial release so im a bit attached to the slow lads. Ali's an excellent dwarf, i steal his ideas whenever i can. sadly im a bit remote for many tournaments but trying to get to some soon

And as Elliot pointed out kings champ gives u re rolls for banners and u have the vault warden teams
When the shield dudes die you can stick the spears behind iron guard then u have 3 attacks
Ash is regularly wrong so don't take him too seriously 😁
@@GollumGamers Iron guard are to expensive to be viable and against a shooting army the first thing to target.
Vault wardens are good for 12.5 points but you need to find a way to bring the enemy in as again you can be kited. Think Ash got his point across badly. But they are missing something! and certainly shouldn't be the worst dwarf faction! Also Durin should hands down be the best dwarf profile in the game and he isn't :S

There d6 though not the worst most armies troops cap at d6 plus u can stick them behind vault wardens until the lines meet
@@simwify If your doing vault wardens and iron guard your model count is going to be typically low, unless you run a few? I just feel for 15pts there overcosted. the profiles great, but not 15pts great.

Hi Simwify! Thanks for your comment, I welcome the discussion! I stick by my assertion that Khazad-Dum is Dog! The 1 attack front line in my experience is very poor, yes you can get Iron Guard for 2 attacks, and they are a great troop type, but for 15 points your numbers start to be low... Also, they are only D6 so I haven't played against any list with spam Iron Guard. The Kings Champ granted is a fantastic model, but overall, if your opponent is rolling 3 dice (front line, spear support banner) and you are rolling 2 (Front line only, banner) to win the fight, your opponent is winning the majority of those fights. Furthermore, you then only have 1 dice to actually try and kill your opponent which isn't great. Therefore, you lose most of the fights against a generic battle line army.
On top of this, they have extremely poor maneuverability with no cav models and only move 5 inches. They have strong heroes, but again, being all of foot they lack killing power. The Vault Warden Teams that do allow for the spear supports are great, but very expensive for two models. I can see a list that is the best way to perform with Khazad-Dum being a mix of Iron Guard and Vault Wardens as you suggested, but I still don't think that would come close to winning an event over 6 games...
I think they are a cool army to run, and look fantastic on the tabletop, but they are (in my opinion) the worst dwarf faction easily, and a dog tier competitive faction... :)

I would like to note that nowhere in the title do you mention that this is a mesbg video. especially for a channel at your size there is no reason for anyone to previously know that. I would recommend adding that..
