- Universal spent $1.8 million marketing Jaws, including an unprecedented $700,000 on national television spot advertising. The media blitz included about two dozen 30-second advertisements airing each night on prime-time network TV between June 18, 1975, and the film's opening two days later. Beyond that, in the description of film industry scholar Searle Kochberg, Universal "devised and co-ordinated a highly innovative plan" for the picture's marketing.

I remember the first time I saw this in 1976 at a Drive In. I was 8...Alwasy enjoy watching this even now.
This trailer is phenomenal to me. This is how a real horror trailer should be and I love how much this teaser actually highlights on the horror aspect of the film
I got chills just watching this teaser.
I envy all the Gen Z’s that will see this classic for the first time.
I wanna say it's bold of you to assume Gen Z's haven't seen this classic already as a Gen Z myself but I get plenty of people around my age who haven't seen it for themselves lol
This is how teaser trailers should be done!! Imagine seeing this very trailer in the cinema back in the day, I'd loved to have been in that audience!!!😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
SO GOOD
Here Pippit, Pippit here Pippit ...🦈
Luv it!
To the one and only
Love it!
Gosh, just imagine what it's like seeing everyone underwater, in danger of being eaten by the shark! 😲
don't Rember seeing any as a kid, except jaws 2 with Percy Jackson's voice and the kid calling for the mother radio spot
If you wiggle your toes in my house, you will be attacked by a cat shark! Beware!
I have a cat shark, too!! He attacks the strings on sweatpants! Beware! Or he's crawling up your leg and there's blood in the water! 😅😅
@@elteescat Then you hear that high-pitched screaming!
@@teresaponziani161 and those claws roll over white.
@@elteescat A Cat shark can take an average of six victims an hour.
@@teresaponziani161 But he can't go down with 3 barrels on him! Not with 3, he can't!
I've never seen this trailer. It's amazing. Kinda reminds me of Independence Day blowing up the White House: do something freaky to get people to come.
See it before you go swimming
Never did that but evil sod that I am, I ordered Final Destination 3 on On Demand when a few buddies and I were traveling between amusement parks riding coasters 😂😂😂
