This man tells the truth about the buffers. I got one for my model 60 and will soon get one for my rossi rs
Thanks for the compliment!! Im sure you enjoyed NOT having to take apart the action for the Marlin!!
Thank you for sharing, there is no videos on the TRAKR, thanks to you now I know that the Rossi and Citadel have the same system… just different stocks!
Yes sir!! And the Mossberg 702/715 as well.
Just got the citadel trackr and loving the light weight stock. It’s tactical looking too. I have a 10/22 but the kids find it more on the heavy side. The trackr is more suiting. I will do this upgrade !
The kids will love it!! Youll appreciate it too!
I have the bolt action TRAKR your video makes me want to get a semi auto. I have been eyeing the 715T and will definitely do this improvement when I get it.....thanks.
These Buffers are now made in BLUE. They are exactly the same as the black ones shown in this video. I do this for inventory purposes, as I make the Marlin etc buffers in Red to not mix them up.
You're still cracking me up! I had to watch this again, it's the best comedy of the week! It kicks too hard!! Hahaha!! My very first shooting experience was a Ruger 10/22 (5 digit serial number) I was 10 years old. Snap. Snap. Didn't feel ANYTHING. My next gun? 12 gauge with my granddad standing behind me. THAT had a KICK. .22? Don't be ridiculous.
Lmao what's wrong with lowering/ smoothing the recoil even more? You'd want that with a .22. You can magdump quickly and more accurately, no shame at all in lowering recoil.
@@jesseramseyz It's a $100 gun. Adding a $15 buffer on a cheap .22 kinda defeats the purpose. Buy a more expensive gun if you want some extra bells and whistles. If you want something cheap to shoot, then shoot it for what it is and save your money for another 300rds.
@@SilentiDominus Irrelevant comment. Nobody is discussing prices, we're talking recoil smoothness. But I'll prove your dumb point wrong anyways, you can absolutely buy accessories to boost the effectiveness of a cheap firearm, it's called improvement. And doing the same thing with a more expensive gun is guess what, more expensive lmao. However, Rossi 22s are only "cheap" because they are imported from Brazil, they are still quality built rimfire rifles that have every justification to add bells and whistles on to the shooters liking, there wouldn't be a profitable market for them otherwise.
@@jesseramseyz It's not irrelevant. I'm discussing prices.
As for recoil smoothness, I completely agree with the other guy. Not worth adding some little buffer on a .22
Nothing you do will make 0 go to less than 0 recoil.
You can certainly add a scope or a folding stock or suppressor or bipod to things. Those are accessories & have value beyond the firearm but adding money into a cheap gun just to do it. It will only be a placebo.
@@SilentiDominus You're confusing recoil smoothness with recoil kick, of course there's no kick in a .22, you can't be more Captain Obvious. The Mossberg 702 lineup buffers snap instead of blap. The buffer replacement you're so afraid of just takes away that abnormal effect that the rock-hard stock buffer creates. It's always worth maximizing your gun, even minuscule changes can make a big difference if it didn't then MOA on our sights and bullets would not be as important as it is, would it?
You're a lifesaver. I couldn't figure out where the buffer went, and instructions were useless.
How do you like the Decellerator Buffer compared to the original???
@promotion4909 I was just trying to reassemble my Trakr, but you've persuaded me to make a decelerator my next purchase.
Great video where can I find the bolt recoil spring
Im not sure, but you definately need one or two of these buffers!!
As much as I love the citadel trakr, it jams up very frequently between every few rounds.
I havent had that experience, but I would look at the feed ramp, where the magazine follower meets it. You may need to either polish the feed ramp and or smooth the opening at the end of the magazine.. Also likely is action timing. I had a fella reach out to me the other day saying his rifle didnt come with a buffer installed!! The recoil spring ends its travel EXACTLY at the point where the bolt ends its travel. The timing is very fickle. We spent a lot of time while developing the Decellerator to eliminate timing issues.
My wife and I both shoot a citadel trakr semi auto and the first few rounds we had some jam up what I did was put my rounds in a baggie and added a few drops of oil to the bag. Not only did it stop the jam ups but it seems to be loading a lot smoother then before. I hope this helps you be safe and keep shooting
I don’t know if it’s just me but it seems as though the charging handle is sort of “loose”. Not falling out loose but kind of just moves with the slightest push. I don’t know if that’s just the design or what but I think I saw it sort of on the gun you showed.
That is correct. It fits in a notch in the bolt. similar to a Marlin Model 60
@@promotion4909 thank you for the confirmation.
My Trakr keeps jamming, any tips to help?
Best guess is the extractor needs cleaning or smoothing
Do you know if the magazines are interchangeable?
I have swapped the RS22 with the Mossberg 702, and would assume yes for all of them.
Any idea If the citadel can handle a 25round magazine without carving the weapon?
Also any idea if there is a folding stock that is compatible with the citadel?
First rifle. Thanks
@@Lokeacola Sorry, I have no input on this.
