The book I liked “The science of self discipline “ by Hollins. The book talks about developing some habits that last for a long while and not for a short while.
“How to Talk to Anyone” by Leil Lowndes. It’s about the art of conversing with people,it teaches practical techniques to help overcome social discomfort.
It’s my new year resolution to start speaking more confidently!
Hey Ezinne, this may sound weird but the book I really want is Dear 20 Something You will Unravel Beautifully. i will be turning 20 in March and i want the change that would happen in my 20's to start from this year ,this would mean so much to me because you are such an inspiration to me a birthday gift like this would really mean a lot

Hi Ezinne, the book I was interested in is deep work by Cal Newport... talking about how to develop yourself and be disciplined... Thank you first of all for letting us know about shortform, but to be honest it is quite expensive for me....as much as I would love to continue to read, it is not really affordable. First, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you Ezinne. I hope you get to read this.
I started following you last year and it is one of the best decisions of my life because that video you made where you said you went on a social media break for 250 days? Yes, that video, came up at the right time when I was seeking answers and didn't know if going off social media was the right thing to do.
At that point I was getting lost into the abyss of depression and all the things I was yet to achieve in my 26 years of age because people my age and younger have achieved so much.
Going on that break and focusing solely on God was the best thing that happened to me last year. And I am starting my year on a really good note because of it.

I decided to transform everything about me and this change was proudly sponsored by the Holy Spirit. As filthy as I was and with the things people knew about me, in my own strength I couldn't go on.
But submitting to the Holy Spirit gave this spell of peace all round and even those around me were stunned.

@@mbangokokon2348 I submitted after a quite funny yet painful break-up with my ex. I went into depression for months, did a lot of dirty stuff online, got blackmai!ed with my own n*des and that was the peak point for me.
When I contemplated suicide, God showed up. I grew up in a Christian home but never experienced God for myself but that night in January 2020 changed my life.
While talking to God, it was like a heavy weight pulled off my shoulders almost immediately, and I felt new againnnnnnnnn....
Serving God is sweet fr.
I have goose bumps reading this ,I feel like giving you a hug.
The best gift anyone can give oneself is becoming friends with the Holy spirit. ALL GLORY TO GOD FOR YOUR TESTIMONY .

I started reading The confident woman by Joyce Meyer few weeks ago and I believe God brought this book my way.
I embarked on a new path I believe God called me to journey in like an assignment, I was really scared of the Unknown but reading this book has taught me that it's normal to afraid but I must ensure that I don't allow it stop me(there is the allowance of doing the assignment afraid but moving).
Another chapter that stood out for me is Titled "The woman I didn't like"
This chapter is about the proverb 31 woman. I saw this Bible character in another light, I saw how powerful I am as a woman and the strength that God has deposited in me. I learnt so much and trust to give me the grace to grow into who he wants me to be.
I remember when i changed from being so bitter ,angry and rude to a gentle loving soul.
As at now i only get angry to create boundaries and i love people more now ....im still growing though but im proud of where i am.
I might not be the best Christian but i try my best to exhibit christ like attributes to those around me❤

I once had that fear of being judged because of the regrettable things I did in the past.
I thank God for the grace and confidence He gave me. I followed the Holy Spirit without minding anybody and today I’m super grateful to God for the decision I made to follow Him.

I sat down yesterday to do a character analysis and I was telling myself that I want to change my attitude and character because some aspects are not good at all 🥺❤️. I can relate to what Ezinne said about wanting to change and not being able to do so in my strength.
God has been faithful, he's been helping me, I've not yet become the kind of person I desire to be but I can say I'm no longer who I used to be.
I didn't really realized to what extent I had changed until day before yesterday. My seven year old brother defecated on his body in our shop, normally my first response will be to shout at him,then slap him hard,push him,get more infuriated, complain and murmur while cleaning the mess, but to my utmost surprise I was unusually calm and understanding to him,I cleaned him up without uttering a word and my heart was even free and happy.
The spirit of God is real and he is really at work in us,we all just need to yield to him and let him have his way in us and one day we'll look back and see that we've been made and transformed to truly represent Christ in conduct and manner.
Thank you Ezinne! Sometimes I'm in awe of how well your spirit resonates with mine. I started this year with so much energy and enthusiasm but along the line, I feel tired of everything and I haven't even achieved anything in life as I should. I stumbled on your video and I must confess, I miss your smile and your words. I have so much I want to change about my life; habits that have lingered and caused me pain and shame, and I know the Holy Spirit can help me but I feel so stuck, depressed, and exhausted. I genuinely thought it was just me who felt this way! There's just been this intense desire to be different, do a 360 turn around, right from the end of December! To become much more gentle, understanding, Christ-like, and more self aware

This year I realized I use my phone almost all day 😅. I knew reducing the time spent using my phone needed to be replaced with something else, which was reading a book😊. So far, I have bought a book called "The Art of Prayer" by Kenneth E. Hagin. I have learned so far that prayer is quite essential for God to move on earth, and God's desire is to pray for ourselves, all saints in Christ, all people and people in authority.
Anyhoo, have started reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. The Lord has called me to build better habits and build a culture of reading more books. Especially letting go of habits that encouraged mediocrity. I’ve not gone far in the book but I’m learning that habits start from small consistent decisions.
The spirit is one . God is speaking only if we are ready to hear it’s funny how I’m reading the same book. And I’m also reinventing my self

Wow I feel like this is so timely for me, earlier this week I found myself in some situations reacting in ways that I thought a Christian shouldn’t and I decided that I was going to change and bring every thing back to Jesus ask myself what would Jesus do in every situation i find myself in, I am just starting but I pray for grace and strength to be better and keep the Holy Spirit involved in this phase of my life.

This was so soothing to watch and very timely for me. Since the year began I've been feeling really mild, like no buzzy feeling to get things started and get things done.
I've been feeling like there's a new me that is to take up this year and It hasn't been easy to change into this new different person.

Dear Ezinne, I've noticed you usually share a scripture under your videos, which somehow aligns perfectly with the contents of the video. Checked under this one in the middle of the video to see if there was one, but there isn't. I know I can search and find an applicable scripture but it's somehow encouraging and a different feel when you share it (lol, not sure if I'm making sense).
Came on here for something completely unrelated, and by divine coincidence, chanced on this. What caught my attention was "...I'm tired" a statement I'd literally made minutes ago.
