my case is not in any of your examples. Hope you can help me
I have this old laptop that has Win7 32bit that is not activated. I can't upgrade it to Win10 directly from Win7 since it is not activated. I checked in SecurAble first what is the maximum bit length of my old laptop and it showed 64 bit. so I formatted it instead and had clean installed Win10 64bit.
It was good at first, I updated everything after installation then after few days of not using it, it shows 0xc000021a. I looked answers from the internet and there is not the same situation in my case. Everything is not working. I tried to reinstall Win10 but this time I can't successfully install, it just go directly to 0xc000021a.
Thinking that reinstalling would be my last option, I did it again but now, it do not show 0xc000021a but it now do not proceed to installation section where I will choose a language. My laptop's fan will just spin so fast then shuts down.
I am thinking to replace the old HDD now to SATA SSD and I am not sure if it will push through. Not sure worth to buy new storage if the error will still show.

Windows Server 2016/2019 displaying this stop code will not be able to boot not even in Safe Mode. So you have to boot from installation media to command prompt and change dism command to 'dism /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /restorehealth'. However there's no guarantee this will fix the actual issue you have.

So the fix for me was going to System Restore and selecting an option that was a few weeks old. So this brought my software back to a few weeks ago when it was working and after about 4 hours of waiting for the system to do its thing, it worked. I did do all the steps in this video so it may have contributed to the fix.

      Hi there,
Thank you for your question. If you're experiencing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) repeatedly and can't access your desktop, you can try a few troubleshooting steps to fix the issue:
      1. **Boot into Safe Mode**: Restart your computer, and while it's booting up, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. Choose "Safe Mode" and press Enter. If you're able to access the desktop in Safe Mode, you can then try to diagnose the issue, such as uninstalling any recently installed software or drivers that may be causing the problem.
      2. **Use Windows Startup Repair**: Restart your computer, and while it's booting up, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. Choose "Repair Your Computer" and press Enter. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a Startup Repair.

Hi there, thank you for your question.
If you encounter the "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation" error while running the System File Checker (sfc /scannow) command, there are several steps you can take to try and resolve the issue. Here's what you can do:
      Run Command Prompt as Administrator:
Ensure that you are running Command Prompt as an administrator. Right-click on the Start menu, select "Command Prompt (Admin)" or "Windows PowerShell (Admin)."
Check if Windows Modules Installer Service is Running:
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
Type services.msc and press Enter to open the Services window.
Locate the "Windows Modules Installer" service.
Double-click on it to open its properties.
Set the "Startup type" to "Manual" or "Automatic" and click "Start" to ensure the service is running.

Hi there, thank you for your question! If you are experiencing the 0xc000021a error after a particular Windows update, you can try booting into Safe Mode and uninstalling the update that caused the issue. If that doesn't work, try rolling back your system to a previous restore point. If these methods fail, you may need to perform a clean install of Windows. However, a clean install will erase all data on your system, so make sure to back up any important files before proceeding.

Thank you very much. Disabling driver signature enforcement solved my issue.

Same here, cautiously optimistic that it'll keep running. A Windows quality update keeps trying to install since the fix but doesn't. Going to keep an eye on things and try to disable it. 🤞

      I am sorry.
Seen as this is from 1 month ago I'm assuming you already reset.
Why did you do that? Anyway I don't want to be rude.
The Users directory contains all your personal files which are now gone.
It is unlikely but might be recoverable by system restore.
If you have previously made any backups to any of your personal files it is recommended you keep them on had.
If there are any remaining files in the Users directory please copy them over and make a backup.
Next just reinstall windows. I suppose there is no other solution.

@@mstech-gamingandmore1827 I tried resetting. But that too doesn't work. I cant factor reset.

      @@Kel-Sang Hmm? Why not?
Did you reset or refresh? Because refreshing now is useless since your files are gone.
If you resetting didn't work, you will need to reinstall from a bootable medium.
Backup all important remaining files and copy them to another drive.
Use the Windows media creation tool to create a bootable flash drive then install windows as you would normally.
