The “Here’s a cemetery shade, f* his s* up!”, was so hilariously out of the blue that I laughed out loud. Really enjoying this series - thorough and just really a pleasure to listen to.

The "broken cup monuments" are stone astrolabes for observing the stars. Hence the Starlight Shards you find at them.

Just as a tip, the death rite birds take massive damage from holy attacks. You can pretty easily take them out with holy water pots.
Well that is good to know, I have a couple leveled up holy weapons too, going to try that.
This was the only thing that saved me when I fought it. For real, the hottest parts of hell are not enough for that particular one in Caelid.
@@slimrock you can always just use the Sacred Order or Sacred Blade AOWs. They both give you a nice holy buff, and once you have all the whetblades you can have any physical infusion, sacred or lightning. I usually keep at least one weapon with either of these on it, usually a hammer or flail as skellies take more dmg from blunt weapon too, so they get rocked by them. Do be aware tho, with skeletons that you need to have the buff active to have them not return from the dead, just innate holy dmg will not do (tho they will take more dmg from that)
@@mkv2718 yeah that is what I was going to try. I just been using Night and Fire on them or Bloodhound's Fang. Going to try my holy blade I leveled up or the Golden Halberd next time

Tip for you (maybe?): the lantern shouldn‘t take a Slot in your quick inventory. Instead you can assign it to one of the four triangle quick slots, which i think is much more convenient. This way you don‘t Need to scroll by it When you are searching an item in your quick inventory.
Yes..30 hours in..I realized I can equip my horse ring , and lantern in my pouch.i always keep all my poison antidotes. Only thing I don't like is it holds 6 but only able to use 4 until u push start not hold Y..lol
I think he keeps his flasks in these slots, and tbh it can work just as well, I believe.
@@piotrtrysinski1601 might try 🤔 that as well..but as you know ? U get used one thing,and Start switching it up,just don't forget..lolTook me a lil while to remember and get used yo moving the torrent ring.lol
My setup on the directional pouch buttons is Torrent, both flasks and the telescope. The two pause menu slots are for the lantern and a summon

Tip for Ekzykes: you can summon and park Latenna on the ridge surrounding the arena. She will constantly fire arrows and draw aggro, but he won't easily reach her.
Dragon's chapel has a banished knight enemy roaming around you can farm for good medium weight armor as well. Carried my melee character through quite a bit of the game.
Using this too. Looks awesome and it's practical.
When I fight the death rite birds, I choose to lock onto their bodies instead of the head. The head moves too much and disorients me. Still a tough enemy, but maybe that will help you.

Just a tip, if you're fighting dragons as a mage, always aim gravity spells at the head. You pop the super armor quickly with that. Offhand meteorite staff, and quicker casting helps too.
Dude that particular Death Rite Bird is insane. I thought it was just me at first having trouble with it. I wound up cheesing it too, however with holy water pots. I have 10 faith and could kill it in 5 hits.

for the death bird, there's the hill behind where he spawns that you can climb and hide from which also shields you from the pot throwing troll. i just hid there and wait 'til he spawns and range attack him
I recommend getting the beast-repellent torch before really exploring caelid it makes life so much easier
It also makes any rat infested or death lizard areas so much less frustrating. Favorite torch
It works for Wolves, Dogs, Caelid Dogs, Bears, Rats, Basilisks, and Snails

This was so helpful! I'm sitting at lev265 still on my first game play but I wanted to get everything explored and done before new game+. Not only did I miss that dungeon but I missed the seed as well as the ash of war too! Probably wont go into new game+ till around 300 😂 I spend more time helping in other people's games then I do my own

The base dragon breaths do have their uses, for example only those you can use from horse back

I love this series. I've been playing through each area and then using these as a reference to go back and clean up what I missed. This game has me excited to play everyday even after 80+ hours in. That death bird can be cheesed to fall of the cliff to the SE. And you only need to agro the 2 dogs at the top, the rest start fighting on their own. I used that as a mini AFK farm very early on, you can get about 8K I think with a GPFF.

Well done man. Im done with my third playthrough fulfilling ranni's destiny and getting age of the stars ending and explored alot of areas and thought I hit them all up.

You’re lucky, still discovering stuff. I feel like I messed up my experience a little bit because I explored every single inch of every map and after completing my first playthrough, I checked online sources to see if I missed anything. To my surprise, I cleared every dungeon. I did goof up on a couple quests though like the eyeball one and forgot to do her quest, so I guess I have one reason to do NG+.
I should’ve been less thorough so my second playthrough would’ve had that magic feeling of “Wow!!! I can’t believe I missed this.” :(

8:10 no theres an alpha with white fur aggro them they get all the other doggos attention its behind the stake of marika no hitting required theres also a lancing knight on horse back at bottom right path of the hill add a bit more runes

Giant evil dogs have become my new favourite consumable weapon in caelid.
Kiting them into camps and patrols yields joy and tranquility in my soul as my enemy screams and perishes.

That death rite bird is a right bastard, starting in the Death Magic state and its attacks are quite trick. However, I have a tip for that and all other Death Birds. They are stupidly, incredibly, impossible weak to Holy Pots. Like 500 damage with just 20 faith on a body shot and over 800 on a headshot.
Literally every Death Rite bird I've fought has been 5-10 thrown pots. I don't know how to melee them to death.
