In this video, I share just how wrong my ostomy supplier was and it is hilarious! Let's just hope I don't have to pay for it! I also share my recent order from Liquid IV and Zak shares about checking an item off of his bucket list (and I got it on camera)!

2500 wipes lol. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł We ordered a refrigerator and got two delivered. When we called for them to pick one up, they got confused and delivered a third refrigerator instead. It took 3 weeks and many phone calls (and frustration) for them to understand and pick up the extra two.

As a person that the arrival of 2,500 unordered adhesive removal wipes didn't happen to it was hysterical. However, I also understand just how ridiculously frustrating and time consuming dealing with this mix up will be. Hopefully, dealing with this will be fairly painless and easy. But, if you're bald in the next video I'll know why. Love watching your videos.
That happened to me and I called the distributer and they sent me a label to return them postage paid. They said that if I had kept them they would have charged me. I received 100 bags of EZ Vents each had 10 in them. Really crazy. I suggest contacting them. I would hate for you to get charged for them. The person who I talked to said she was so confused since the orders go through 3 check points and the mistake wasn't caught. Let us know how it turned out. Hugs and blessings
If you live in the US it would be illegal for them to charge you for unordered merchandise. You arenât obligated to pay for, return or even inform the company of the unordered items. They are also legally required to pay for return postage if you choose to send the items back.
Fun story: my friend ordered a TV and got delivered two. He contacted the company to make sure he wouldnât get charged, and they said they would send someone to pick up the extra one. A few days later he got a call telling him to bring the TV down to the lobby (he lives in a third floor apartment) because someone would be by that day to get the TV. He told them he was not lugging their mistake downstairs, but they were welcome to come up and get it. He never heard from them again, and eventually gave the TV to his daughter. (He was never charged)
Can I just mention that you can use 3.6 wipes a day for two years without running out!! Thank you for educating. Hope your ok â€

Maggie, I always call my order in and they still get it wrong. I donât know what goes on in those supply house, but I am under Medicare.

Lol I know this feelingâŠ.here in NZ we have âthe evil socialised medicineâ which means that we didnât pay for the supplies for my partner, who was a paraplegic due to spina bifida but for some reason the whole âfeast or famineâ when ordering supplies still applied lol. Due to one mixup like this we had approximately 10 years worth of urinary catheters, stacked in our garageâŠ.yay?
We desperately need and deserve nationalized health care in the US. No human should ever have to go without quality health care. Our taxes NEED to pay for universal health care.
US doesn't even have that low taxes, definitely could put the money on health care, wonder where it all goes. And specially if you pay fairly high taxes I think everyone deserves a chance to get part of that tax money and health care pretty much everyone will need it one day.
So funny, the same thing happened to me and I donated a years supply (3 foot locker size boxes) to Charleston Ostomy Assoc, they loved it. Keep smiling, love the vids.

Thank you for sharing these experiences, Maggie. Iâve been following you for years but this is the first time I am commenting. Iâve been on the exact opposite side of this equation before, where I ordered one box of wipes and received one singular wipe. Iâm sorry since I know how frustrating this is but better too many than too few. If they donât charge you, please consider donating!

Sorry, not finished. Anyway, for weeks a Medical Supply Company in the East ( we are in California) to get measurements of our Bathtub and bathroom because they were going to "build" a heavy duty shower chair for my husband. Weeks later we get this humongous box, about 4 x 4 x 4. We couldn't even get it thru the front door. I opened it and found a generic potty chair with a plastic cushion that they said could be used in the shower. It was supposed to be made but this one was right off the shelf! It also weighed 80 lbs! I called them and told them that the chair was too wide to even
fit into the shower and as my husband only recently got out of the hospital and could not even lift it into the shower and I couldn't because I have a bad back. And they were going to charge over $3000. For this ridiculous "potty"/"shower" chair. Because it was now a "used" item even though it was still in the box they refused to let us send it back. Not going to happen. I talked to our UPS guy and asked him how we could return it and he said we could put on it "Refused" " Return to Sender". But...before closing it up we had one more thing to do. We raise Registered Angus Beef Cows. So we went into our pasture and found a nice, dried cow patty and put it into a Plastic Ziplock where I wrote. " This is a Genuine Registered Angus Bull Patty" that is just as much BULL S.
T as this stupid chair is" and we put it under the commode lid and then we taped the box back up and sent it back. A few days later we got a call from our attorney who had gotten a call from the potty chair company who was very upset! We told her what happened and she couldn't wait to go across the hall to tell her husband, also an attorney, what we had done. She could barely contain her laughing!

Yeah the supply companies love to send extra and charge your insurance. Itâs a totally a scam and raises insurance premiums

I would definitely call the supplier or whoever you would expect the bill from and get ahead of the insane bill you could be getting.
This is sooooo funny. This is Health Care in a nutshell--- this is it. Yes, yes, you nailed it. I can so relate.
Cherish this as earlier in the year I tried to order some emergency stoma bags and it took them 3 months to send them out to me (even though I must have called them about 20 times)
A diabetic that uses a pump and a CGM would love that many remover wipes! The adhesive they use can sometimes be quite hard to get of without something like those wipes
It is not procrastination in putting off the medical supply call, it is self-preservation (as being driven temporarilly insane is a real risk). I think that the bill is a given, just make sure you get confirmation numbers, personnels' names, date and time stamp the calls regarding ALL contacts. It could go perfectly with no bill issued, however few win that "lottery". BTW Zak be careful out there!!đ

How frustrating, but also comical, to have received so many wipes! Before you make the call, put out into the Universe that all will go well and smoothly and for it to be taken care of completely. I have done that and found that it works. Good luck! đ

I could use one box if they don't take them back...but my God they ALWAYS screw my order up. That may be my lost boxes from where I didn't get them in my order! Lol
How absolutely frustrating! Donât keep them. Glues break down over time. If the company charges you for them, let the company know you have a lot of followers and a very, big VOICE!

Lol, I used to use that adhesive remover. Now I use the Esenta spray remover that I LOVE. I do keep some of the wipes in my "emergency" bag.

Trouble with med supplies is nobody can return them ⊠they canât reuse even if the individual boxes are unopened.

Oh girl if you can't get rid of any. My insurance won't pay for the remover and my skin is bad at times due to the glue build up. I watch your videos and you have helped this old lady too. Tysm

This reminds me of when I still lived with my dad and came home to a whole oxygen concentrate machine and supplies on my porch. Took me an hour to find a live human to come get their stuff and then they wanted ME to deliver it to their patient for them. No wonder they only had 1 star reviews.

Iâve tried those adhesive remover wipes and got a terrible skin reaction to it so I stick with the Hollister brand wipes. Hopefully you get that issue sorted out.

Adhesive tape remover is good to remove nail polish. We found that out where I used to work because the facility would not supply nail polish remover.

Hi Maggie. I found you today, and have been checking out how you deal with some issues that I've dealt/deal with.
What do you like about the Cera Plus? I use the Sensura Mio from Coloplast, and have for the 6 years since my surgery (rectal cancer). I'm just wondering the difference. I have to use skin barrier, as my older flanges don't stick as well. I think my skin has changed as well, regarding the flanges not sticking. It's kinda smooth and slick in that area.

omg! i'm laughing, and I know it's not funny - but when I saw what was in that 3rd box...Lol. What a pain. I'd call and see if they take them back. If not, maybe you can find a worthy pace to donate to.

They sent me ONE single barrier wipe in a plastic bag. I spent an hour on hold to get it straightened out and they did it again! ONE SINGLE wipe in its own plastic bag!
The third time is usually the charm but no....they sent me someone else's order! And sent them mine!

Kind of like the time my medical supply company was supposed to send me a month's supply of catheters, which is 240. Instead, I got a big box that was really light. When I opened it, there was...one catheter inside. Not one box, one catheter, rattling around inside this giant box. When I called them, the customer service rep had a good laugh. The order sheet had a box for how many months these were supposed to last, and somebody in the warehouse misread that as the quantity to pack. Without thinking that maybe this was a little odd, they dutifully packed one catheter in a box they had handy and sent it out. Fortunately, they were very quick about shipping the other 239 that were supposed to be in there!

Those wipes are great for removing sticky stuff of jars and the like we recycle jam jars
You're not alone. My previous supplier in the UK seriously couldn't read. I asked them to cancel an item from my usual monthly order. My due date came and went.. after being on hold for hours they told me I cancelled my account!!!!! What the hell! Took an age to sort out. I had to change supplier immediately. Best of luck.

Your videos started appearing on my homepage , I believe from educating myself upon my dads conditions. Unfortunately, he passed in April. However, I have a large supply of bags, remover, and other supplies. Do you recommend anywhere to donate the supplies??
I used to do home hemodialysis and we used a lot of alcohol wipes. In our monthly supplies once we mistakenly got 10 cases, each case had 20 boxes of wipes each box contained 500 wipes. We still have some and I was transplanted in 2009. Our delivery driver went on vacation and the substitute driver dropped off the supplies for 3 different patients at our house. We had left our garage open for them to deliver (like we always did) and when we pulled up to our garage that afternoon there were 3 pallets of fluids that didnât fit in our garage. Usually we could fit our car in that garage with just our new delivery. So crazy.

Somebody may have already suggested this but those adhesive remover wipes are good stuff. I get those for my MIL as her skin is pretty delicate and she has dialysis twice a week and so she has an adhesive bandage twice a week not to mention the number of plasters that she goes through. If they don't charge or take them back, I recommend donating them to a dialysis center, cancer center, or even assisted care facility. Many who are in those facilities experiencing the same issues with skin sensitivity.

There are some strange stories about unit of measure mixups. Well, welcome to the fun world. Anyway, you have your own warehouse. Please take care Maggie. You're way too fun.
I tried switching to a new company last year and they screwed up my first two orders and then sent me a 3 month supply of wafers WITH NO BAGS! Needless to say, I had to find another new company real fast đ€ŠđŒââïžđ

Itâs crazy on the wipes!!! My new babies are asleep - all three were found in a zomorph box. Being winter white girl hammies and sisters, they seem to get along. 2 of the 3 will eat treats on me.
I wonder if you have the same supplier as my son? The very first catheter order, they sent 1000+ catheters and hospital grade catheter insertion kits without contacting me. The whole order took up 1/3 of his room. And the catheters werenât even the right size or style. Another time, they delivered a palate (yes, still wrapped up on the palette delivered to my garage) of reusable bed pads (200) instead of one case of disposable ones.
Aggravating and frustrating. A major screw up at the supplier.

I work in a pharmacy and every time we got a shipment of covid vaccines, we were sent SO MANY boxes of syringes and alcohol wipes. We donated some to a local veterinarian.

The pickers in their warehouse must be related to the ones that work in my husbandâs warehouse, it is a crap shoot how they decide on quantity. There was a guy that counted the garbage bags not by the box, but individual bags.

My dad had a Urostomy and was on hospice with a couple months to live. His supply company sent enough supplies for 2 years. Crazy.
Itâs crazy how you guys get charged for things such as ostomy supplies and IV supplies. We donât pay for anything like that in the UK. Something like an ostomy should be paid for by the government. What if someone canât afford to buy these. I have a panic attack at the thought of being away from my supplies and have a leak đąđąđąđą!!!
I immediatly recognized the red boxes with the pasta rings. I have exactly the same in The Netherlands. All the other stuff looks different to me though. In my case they always send stuff in ridiculously oversized boxes. I guess to prevent any damage i don't know. I only encountered one time that they sent a different article multiples of instead of the article i needed.
I also only dare to order for up to 3 months as i am a bit wary of the shelf life as it gets over 90 here in the summer. The fridge can't as that one is filled with Humira syringes. (Though those i have to get from the hospital's pharmacy directly because of insurance).
I got mine from Costco but they don't have those fun flavors.
Hope youâre able to return then and get reimbursement for the entire order (minus one unit) and shipping.

How do you get that mini medical supplies my mom gets medical supplies for her ileostomy but not nearly enough to last her for how many times she is changing it per day right now
I would look for places or organizations that take supplies like that. We have one here that will take all kinds of medical supplies if I donât use them

I liked the seaberry. To me it's a citrusy berry flavor. Put the powder in the bottle and put it in the freezer to get it really cold.
