I feel like there really isn't a set amount of time, everyone grieves differently. You'll know when you're ready to move on.

I love deeply and I would not be able to move on that quickly... We love at different levels and love people differently based on the relationship.... family, friends, and romantic.... I have a cousin that passed away in 2004 in a tragic car accident and I am just accepting his death... so I cannot begin to imagine losing someone that I was romantically involved with especially if the death is unexpected or tragic...... I have a friend who loss his wife who he was in love with and he married quickly after his wife death and it did not work out... they are now getting divorced....he admitted that he was still grieving his wife... In his case... the wife was ill and her death was expected......and she left behind a young son who miss his mom dearly.... But people grieve differently....
Yes, people grieve at different levels. I really hope this guy is making the right decision in saying I Do to his new soon to be wife.
The new woman will find out later that her new husband is a hot emotional mess. If he loved his wife at all he has not grieved his loss. I feel that he had some type of attraction for this woman before his wife passing.
Those are my thoughts as well. Hopefully we are wrong.
