I love when your video editor shows Multiple Jennys working in the same space! If only we could temporarily clone ourselves to get done faster :) All my video editing skills are self-taught, so I know how hard it is to do well. She's doing a fantastic job!
Dear Jenny,
Your gardens are the best!…….absolutely gorgeous and lush! I’ve never seen a garden center as beautiful as yours! I enjoy every one of your videos. Your cheerful, upbeat personality is a JOY and you always make my day better just watching you. Thank you so much!
Jackie🪷
Jenny, you knocked it out of the ballpark with all of those gorgeous plants! Can’t wait to see how the wax begonias liven up the pathway ❣️
Thanks so much!
Love seeing Brenna constantly guarding you ensuring your safety. Looks gorgeous!
Perfect combo of the begonias and Angelina's!! I too love the view through the rose arbor, sooo pretty !
I planted an entire flat of flowers. The next morning every single one was gone! I have learned not to plant what bunnies love!
Same here but I also have to find plants that the deer won’t eat!
Sorry to hear that. My Hostas were being attacked by the bunnies.
And, it sucks because flowers are not cheap.
@@vickieharrell6853oh my goodness! I feel your pain and frustration. There are plants the deer don't eat, but the rabbits will and vice versa. The deer don't eat my coneflowers, but the rabbits will. The rabbits also chewed up my variegated liriope, which the deer don't touch. Argh 😖
Oh No! So sorry to hear! So frustrating! Try Essential Oils and we if that works to deter them
Jenny you have inspired me to focus on planting other things in your garden that make you happy and not to focus on damage done by animals, in my case I have a whole family of deer that have devoured my entire garden. 😭
I love the begonia boarder. I’m excited to hear how the wedding went! I hope everything was perfect 🤩 congratulations to the bride and groom 💜
Love it Jenny, you're amazing, thank you so much for sharing, you're an inspiration.🌹♥️
Those roses are gonna pop in the background of the angelonia and begonias. 😍!
"Moving with purpose" love it!
That's funny, I'm cleaning out my shed while watching this video.
The flower combos you've used this year are spot on gorgous. Love the whites & pinks beautiful
Thank you so much!
I have a couple of bunnies in my garden too, and they made short work of my Hollyhocks. A coworker recommended cayenne pepper mixed with water in a spray bottle. I'm going to try it on some of my plants. Wish me luck! 😊
Jenny that planting is just beautiful. Your efforts really pay off. Everthing looks wonderful
Oooh la la. This is going to be gorgeous. I can't wait for the end to get the full view.
My favorite "nugget" of this video is being introduced to the Apple Blossom Begonias! What a gorgeous, versatile plant. This one can make a statement all alone but, she also enhances her neighbors without commanding all the attention. I think I have several garden spots where I need this beauty. Thanks Jenny for introducing us 😊
So glad I was able to introduce you to this beauty! Happy gardening 💚
Ordered Apple Blossum begonias when the one I wanted more of was sold out. I am thrilled with them! They take on a lovely rose-and-white hue in full sun. So pretty! I am grateful.
The new plants look great 👍 and Brenna was on guard the whole time you worked! No bunny is going to get her Mama!❤😊
That color combo is perfect Jenny!
That area is beautiful!! Let's hope the bunnies move on to the woods!
Jenny, that looks so pretty! You are battling bunnies while I battle 5 varieties of squirrel!! We live between 2 filbert orchards so we have lots of the little buggers. They eat everything and dig up the plants to hide the nuts. Caught one little guy eating a plant tag :) Hope your new plants are bunny proof and thrive
Good morning! Would love to see Early June garden tour to show us how things looked for the wedding! I bet the wedding was absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations to the bride and groom!
Weather necessitated relocation of the wedding to inside venue…
@@kathy5216 oh too bad! I missed that update!
@@kathy5216oh no 😮 after all that work! I too missed that update. 😢
The view looking thru the arch at the end is spectacular!
I have a rabbit problem in my garden and saw a hack that actually had worked for me! Last year, rabbit would come and top off my fern -- just lay the frond down on the ground and then eat the stem to the ground (or a little below ground level!). I "plant" white plastic forks on two sides of the ferns and the rabbits leave my ferns alone. I have had not problems with rabbits chewing in my garden since I started doing this!
Nice plant choices. The garden beds are looking lovely.
We had bunnies in our garden . We resorted to catching them in a rabbit cage and drove them 5 miles away . Did that 3 times and they didn’t return. It did take a while to catch them ,put the cage next to their favourite plant with some of the leaves inside ,covered it with a blanket because they like cosy places not open traps
That's a beautiful area of your property! Good luck with the bunnies! We have both wild bunnies and outdoor pet bunnies! Our experience is that bunnies and deer like the same kinds of plants. They absolutely love hostas. Luckily, ou hostas grow way faster than the bunnies can eat, but the deer could wipe out a huge hosta plant in a single feeding! 😮 😊
Can't wait for the new Angelonia (pink & white) to come out next year. I live in Texas and they do quite well here, just a beautiful plant !!
First I love all your gardens, and I always get some much inspiration from you guys. Question, is that an old birdbath or planter in your garden planted with hens and chicks? If it is what a great idea! Thanks for sharing all your gardens and your ideas!!
It is!!!
@@GardeningwithCreekside I love it!! I think I am going to have to borrow that idea. Thanks again for sharing your wisedom and love of gardening!!
Your new border plants are beautiful! I am always interested in learning about more plants that are rabbit resistant.
Looking so beautiful great plant combo!
Jenny, your flower beds never look tortured or contrived. They're always so lovely and natural looking. I love the masse plantings of things. Just subtle, sweeps of color and texture like a symphony. (Johann Strauss II: Tales from the Vienna Woods, Op. 325-- to be precise LOL)
You read my mind! Sorry that you lost your Blue My Mind 😂 Yes, we thought that our rabbit pop was under control, but, no, a large mama and two babies are now romping around. So far, they are just drinking water from our waterfall pond. We shall see!! 🥰
Jenny, love all your colorful tops you wear. Matches your pretty flowers ❤ Gardens are looking beautiful 😍
Everything looks sooooooo pretty now! Maybe you can lure the bunnies to relocate by placing a crate with some pots of evolvolus nearby, like by the shed, and then gradually moving the crate farther away, maybe up to where Jackson just cleared.
Just started following you a little bit ago....I love it! I love how you explain things . I too have bunnies 😏😊. Thanks for all you do!!
Welcome! We are glad you found us & are enjoying the videos!
Everything is so pretty!
Jenny, that's going to be spectacular for the wedding. We gardners just have to balance with Mother Nature and plant eating friends lol.
Roses love to be pruned ! It is funny that people think that roses are delicate and hard to grow. They are exactly the opposite. They are hearty, and they will grow like crazy. Tree roses have a shorter lifespan.
Good job Jenny, good luck with the rabbits.
Having the same issue with bunnies thanks for the idea on what to plant.
Everything is so pretty!!
It looks so pretty
Gorgeous gorgeous and gorgeous!
So beautiful!! Thanks for sharing 😀
Everything just looks so beautiful!! Just WOW! I cannot wait to see everything fill in and your hydrangeas in bloom! It’s going to be a jaw dropping, incredible show of colors and textures. It already is! 😊
I love that Brenna is your constant shadow !!! My dogs do that with me too !!they find a shady spot and wait on me !!!❤❤❤❤
Beautiful, Jenny!! Great job!!
So beautiful!
I love your choice of plants Jenny , this is looking so beautiful! Yay, for Jackson living life. He reminds me so much of my oldest grandson, he’s been on tractors and backhoes since he was little. But in a couple of months he’s off to college 😢! Good luck with the bunnies ❤
Chipmunks love the 6 pk of begonias. After listening to you about Molemax I ordered a bag from Amazon so far it seems to work for me. Good luck with your Begonias.
🤞 hopefully you’re begonias work because if they do, I’m adding them to my garden
"Oh Mama, I want a bubbler too!" ⛲
Made me giggle, love ya Jenny! xx
It looks great! I can't wait to see it in a month from now.
Beautiful planning Jenny ! Looks awesome !
Garden looks awesome!!!!
Just beautiful
So gorgeous 🥰
Jenny, your path directly inspired our garage-to-back patio path design. I love yours and I’m starting to love mine now that some of the plants are filling in!
That is awesome!
GOOD luck Jenny and Happy Growing ! 🤞🏻💐💚🙃
Very pretty, Jenny! You've done a beautiful job!
Beautiful!
Your gardens are beautiful! I love the new bubble up in the fountain. Thanks for sharing ❤
Love the views in this garden area!😊. I too battled the bunnies they not only chewed up some flowers but managed to take a bite out of every strawberry in my patch! Now I know I have to share my space with Gods little critters but come on!!!
Beautiful choices Jenny
Beautiful garden 🎉
Good morning Jenny and all.
Thanks for this video, Jenny...I have rabbits around here that are loving on my Heuchera! 🙁🐰🇨🇦🌿❤️
Very beautiful
Good to know wax begonias are a choice for rabbit resistant plants. Am always looking for an annual I can plant successfully.
Love the bubbler, Jenny. If you would, please share the link. Today’s planting looks great!
Did the flood displace the wedding plans? I must have missed an update.
Me to. But heard the venue changed because of weather.
Rain did, they had to take it inside at a venue.
Your resilience is awesome. All my Gerbera daisies have been rabbit food, and my day lilies deer food and even sampled a limb of my limelight standard! I've added the black netting to see if I can rescue the plants. Were you able to have the wedding at your home? Wondered if the deluge interfered? If so, was it magical? Thanks for your videos and taking us along for the adventures in gardening!
Bunnies - so cute but they sure can wipe out a flowerbed in no time. Love the Wax Begonias and Angelonia combo lining your walkway. The flowerbeds are looking absolutely fabulous and will only get better.
Just a little gentle feedback. The plants you put in today would cost us around $455 and those would just last the summer - 65 plants at $7 - $8 per plant. We have the same spaces to fill but (oh my goodness). When I’m in the garden centers I hear the same comments from shoppers about the rising costs of plants. Proven Winners puts many of their plants in those eco pots and they’re $9 per plant. I live in Texas where they don’t decompose so I have to throw them away - no compost bin b/c I live in the city. It’s a difficult time for people right now and gardening purchases are discretionary. I understand your videos are to inspire but the price tag to recreate your ideas, even in a more modest space is daunting. I would just appeal to the gardening industry to appreciate the struggles of those of us who do not have access to wholesale prices. We love your products so help us afford them.
Agree, but, if you watch more videos they have mentioned before they don't expect people to plant in the same volume that they do and that they are planting for their businesses.
Thanks for your feedback. I would encourage you to remember that each garden center is responsible for setting their prices, the plant breeders are not (Proven Winners, Monrovia, Southern Living Plant Collection, etc). I have stated many times that I fully recognize that we are in a unique postiion in terms of our gardens due to their size, accessibility by the public, and the availabilty of plants to us. Please also keep in mind that while this flower bed is at our house, we will be hosting 50 guests this summer to walk through the gardens and pictures will be taken for social media purposes to be used by both us and plant companies. I need these gardens to be full. While I LOVE gardening for the personal satisfaction of creating beautiful spaces, this is in fact my job. As crazy as it sounds, I am a professional gardener that gets paid to create attractive gardens. I say this because in no shape fashion or form do I "expect" our viewers and customers to recreate our gardens in the exact same way at their home. My job is to educate, inform, and inspire you. We all must be students of our own gardens, and your TX garden is vastly different than my NC one. I would encourage you to explore plants that thrive in your climate. Native perennials & shrubs are a fantastic way to fill in your garden and use annuals as an accent. No matter what plants you add to your garden, it is my prayer & desire that you create a space that you love and that our videos help you achieve that in some fashion. ~ Jenny
Fantastic explanation, Jenny! Exactly!!
Hey Jenny, you create spaces of Beauty n places where the eye can rest. I am encouraged to try for glimpses of beauty too in my garden . Not through exactly same plants ( not many available here) but using your ideas/combinations of texture, shape, colour etc. Such Joy! I’m always watching to see what you come up with next! Big Thanks! 👏👏
All you need is a cat or two. Just got a 8 month old fellow after losing our 19 yr old. New boy takes his job seriously!! Rabbits don’t even bother coming into our yard any more.
Have had this happen before with “rabbit proof” plants, as many gardeners have. Started buying deer and rabbit resistant plants two years ago, and am in the process of removing three, 7 year old, beautiful, little limelight hydrangeas because I no longer want to spray, put netting, or otherwise protect plants that end up getting eaten anyway. So, I bought Spigelia, a native plant that is poisonous. My sister had it for six years, the colors were breathtaking, and it was safe from the local wildlife. Bought three and I think it will be fine, long run, but some of the stalks were bitten right off, and were laying on the ground. Made them look a little sparse, because they are thin to begin with, but just simply trying everything I put in is not new. Seems they will get a taste for it, especially new bunnies, and decide after biting it if they have a taste for it. Hopefully, they will spread the word that Spigelia is not for eating.
Good morning Jenny! I have 2 bunnies as well. My lab Bria has just about destroyed my daylilies. The are under the hydrangea bush but they are now up and moving fast. I didn't know that they scream. I'm not sure if the momma is there. I so ready for them to hop on their way. Of course your garden looks so great!
I have the same problem with rabbits. I use fish emulsion solution sprayed onto the plants to stop the damage. Smells bad but works 100 percent.
Maybe you should get Jackson out chasing the bunnies with a dart gun too ? 💐💚🙃
Rabbits leave my begonias alone so hopefully they will at your place too...Bobbex makes a Repellent for rabbits that you spray on flowers...I use their deer Repellent spray and it works extremely well...have not tried the one for small critters but assume its a good product too.
I planted red doubleups this year, my first time with begonias. It will not be my last! They are in pots and I swear they were bigger the day after planting. I wish I would have surrounded my new echinacea and rockin salvia that the bunnies, for now, only nibbled on.
Bunnies and chipmunks are trying my patience.
Have you had the wedding and your event yet? Everything looks gorgeous!
I planted 100 wave petunias in the ground for a client. Desperation calls when you have bunnies. I’ve tried everything to keep them at bay, the only thing that seems to help is grated Irish spring. Guess they dont like the smell.
Good morning, Jenny☕️ Those Bengoniasare going to look amazing. Question 🙋🏼♀️ I winter overed a rose tree and didn’t really trim it back but had I, would I have seen more buds? Is there a particular time to cut a rose? It’s my first one 😂Have a Blessed Day😊🐶
Good morning jenny, I know this is a little off topic but I saw that you have a camper in the background and I was wondering if you guys ever get a chance to use it in the summer to get away from all the work you do. Also is it possible to get a tour of all the plants that you put in for Alyssa's wedding to see how they are looking now and I hope the weather was great for her day.
Bunnies are a problem for me as well! I'm going to try your method with begonias 🤞..Also, can you drop a link for that bubbler? Thanks Jenny!
Hi Jenny and Jerry. It’s now for sure you can see the purpose of all your garden planning. Your gardens have grown in so beautifully in the last 2 years.
Oooh the new introduction looks like a nemesia, I am hoping it is more heat tolerant!
I planted blue my mind a few years ago and had the same issue although I was not sure if it was the rabbits or the deer! They loved that plant! I hope the double up begonias work. I planted the old fashioned wax begonias as a border in shade garden this year as the double ups the deer will eat, but in the past they have left the wax begonias alone. I know it was deer that ate the double ups as the container was too high for rabbits! I understand the predator theory with Brenna. We have a dog too. I use his dog hair that we get from his coat and put inside the plants that deer and rabbits seem to like. Does it work? I don’t know, but hoping the smell of the dog’s hair keeps them away. It takes very little time so not out that much. I am really seeing a lot of bug damage this year. Earwigs, slugs, snails and/or Japanese Beetles-I have put down Sluggo Plus but still getting a lot damage. We have had tons of rain so thinking that is why there is more damage than normal. The life of a gardener can be frustrating but so love the challenge and reward and happiness it gives to others to see the beauty of God’s handiwork.
Rabbits have a magic about them that makes the dogs not acknowledge their presence 🫣
I must be blessed, so far the bunnies have not touched my evolvulus. They have been chomping on my variegated liriape!
Hi Jenny, I live in the Caribbean and Bagonia don't like to much water. Had some in the rain thinking the rain was great for the plant. One day, I check on it the whole top came off in my hand.
Hope you get through.
My yard is FULL of bunnies! I feel like more than ever before... as a matter of fact, the whole neighborhood is a bunny hatchery of sorts! Lol. Most of the things I plant are in pots and haven't been affected yet, but good to know when I do decide to plant in ground, there are things the bunnies won't like.
Your property is looking amazing and everything is growing fast!♡ How was the wedding? Did I miss a video about that?
Love begonias and angelonias! Beautiful! Did you have your wedding? Did I miss that video?
Really lovely area. Does the fountain bubbler make a pleasant water sound or is it more for appearance?
That NC sun...at 7: 23 we were full sun and 72 already. Here you have to be out at sunup if you want to beat it before 80s hit around 9:30
Love, love, love how your gardens are shaping up.
If I may correct you on one thing, though... the beautiful pink flowers you planted are actually pronounced
an-ge-lon-EE-ah (spelled angelonia). I'm also still learning the
pronunciation of many of the plants in my own garden.
I've been following your channel for a couple of years now, so I hope you take this as constructive criticism...one gardener to another. Keep on keepin' on. 💚😊💚
Oh nature and our flowers😩I planted 7 (12 each flat) flats of East Wave Petunias (so beautiful last year) and something went around and ate them all over a week’s time. I haven’t seen a bunny but I have seen a mama deer that just had a baby. I assume it was her. I have the most beautiful row Ruby Slippers Hydrangeas against the house….every morning I run to the windows to see if they’re there. These animals😬
Jenny could you please post a link to the bubbler in your birdbath. Thank you.
