I have seen many breeders...but you are the most calm person...and patient
Tip from a former racer, always make sure you have plenty of food for them upon return. Once they enter the loft make sure the feeder is full. If they feel rewarded they’ll come back faster.
It’s all good that you got all your birds back home. Shame you went back indoors at 12 o’clock if you had waited alittle time you would have seen your first bird return. Wish you luck for next week.
Nice that you noticed that! I know man if only i waited. On my Race #5 video, I checked at 2:45pm and no one returned. I checked again at 3:55pm and I saw one bird returned at 2:48pm. Glad you got them all back kalapatid, if those birds are two pairs there might be some motivation you can do with them. they kinda look like pairs the way they were perched. Great video - fun to watch!
That’s a great idea! I’m gonna plan to thrown in a random cock bird in there before I ship them out for the race. Make them protect their territory. We’ll see kalapatid. Do you think I can get 1 or 2 birds back next week?
@@gpsloft5868 I think they will come back unless something unforeseen happens to them. If the release site is in a place where the entire flock is headed in your general direction for a while - all the better chances. You have some well trained birds now so I can't see them not finding their way. It will be interesting to see if their YPM speed increases some with you making them jealous and territorial. Why barley on race day? Barley should be given after the race but depends also how they feel. Give them some peanuts when they come home. They’ll recover faster plus some electrolytes. Hope it will help.

Good luck for next week .looks like u got 2x pairs . Put some steaw/hay in their nest box, day before basketing. A bit motivation goes a long way . Get the food into them . They're gonna need it from 350. Quick question, have u / when did u treat for canker , cocci , respiratory etc ?
Yes, I treated the birds the for that last week. Okay I’m gonna increase their food intake. They’re definitely gonna need if for the 350 mile race. You think I’ll get all 4 back??
Racing pigeons successfully is a hard road to follow . U never stop learning . No matter what happens at the end of the season . Even if u have no birds left . Put it in your diary . Go and visit as many top lofts / flyers u can in your area. Take as much info in as u can and learn from it . It's easy me saying feed this do that , but I dont know what your doing off camera . I bet u theres one thing they'll all have in common. They will ALL have a strickt resieme for diet , feed , water , health, fitness and disease treatment/ control and motivation.l.

U'll probs be basketing in a day or 2 . As much carbs fats as they want for these last 2 days . Few peanuts or sunflower seeds each . I think you'll be over the moon to get 1 or 2 home.Good luck . I'm willing them home for ya 👍👍👍

To understand the racing of pigeons from distances of 350 onward u need to understand the Cori cycle and how important food groups are .
Theres an old man "Danny" who has been racing pigeons in the USA for years . Follow him on CZcams and start watching his vids from the very beginning. Very very informative 👍

My clock only works for my birds because they’re wearing e-chip that’s registered to my clock. Good question 😊👍🏼
