No chaos, it’s just winter. Everything is sensationalized. Hype, hype, hype.
Reporters need to study weather history and facts!
You don’t have to watch TV news, you know.
@@TheMargarita1948 You’re right, why would expect the truth from television.
"Chaos"? I lived through the Blizzard of 1978, when Rhode Island was frozen solid for ten days! But six inches of snow is not "chaos."
Right chaos?? Really makes you wonder how they hype this stuff. To us up here this was a Tuesday in January. Not chaos. If they embellish snowfall what else they lie about and try to sell you
It's called winter.
Get a grip.
Events like this occur frequently in the North Woods of Wisconsin. We call these events Wednesday, Thursday, etc.
That's why I live in sunny southern California, im a patriot 😎 Republican 🇺🇸 💪🏽from the Golden state and sure damn well pay a premium to live in coastal southern sunny California almost 280 sunny days a year and proud of it Northern woodsman 😅
@@victorc8804 - Enjoy your tremors, earthquakes and forest fires.
I have never been in a earthquake greater than 4.5 luckily structures are built better than before, I rather deal with one of those than what Kentucky down south from you delt with recently
What is America going to do when real disaster happens,a sign of a nations decline is when it can no longer handle routine events like a snowstorm
We were warned 3 days ago that we would have lots of snow off from Lake Ontario. My son-in-law didn't bother to prepare. No gas for the snow blower, I can believe it, but then I know him.
I've never heard of the first real snow fall or school snow day chaos 😳
NH here. Snow was kinda pansy here. No biggie.
Its January. Winter. Snow is a thing around this time.
It's like these dolts have never seen snow. It happens EVERY year you miscreants.
No snowplow drivers. That not normal. We should of left the caravans in
Even blizzards!
Well, it IS winter! 🤔
I'm 65, I've done 3 foot and more snow storms. I'm laughing at the fools and idiots. What a joke people have become. I drove from Maine to Conn. in a snow storm in a 260Z with summer tires.
Fun days, eh? The thing about winter driving is hoping someone else doesn't do something stupid. If everyone behaves properly then such a commute is usually no problem.
Remember the days when people actually drove there vehicles.. no self driving or automatic breaking and accident avoiding, no automatic lane what ever it's called, seemed like a lot more folks ended up getting to there destination back when you actually had to drive your vehicle
Fargo has gotten over 20+ inches so far in the last few weeks, along with 3 blizzards. This is nothing lol
These reporters have gotten used to exaggerating and hyping everything!
That’s true, I live over here in Moorhead… yeah, my school had a two hour late start on Wednesday… but I shoveled the garage, tomorrow I’ve got to make some space in the garage because the neighbors below my apartment unit drove into their garage and created a slight hole in the wall, the most important part is the my car isn’t damaged, but I’m not going to do it today since the recycling center isn’t open until 9am tomorrow
Media hype. Snow is beautiful.
Have guests recently living with me, including an 11 y/o who has only known Texas and Florida weather. Today, he and his mother built his first snowman, he dropped onto his back to make his first snow angel, everyone went sledding (except my hubby, who was out plowing,) and we all had a wicked snowball fight!
First decent snow in Rhode Island this year, definitely a win, in spite of the shovelling!
Embrace the shoveling grind
@@garysmith4674 Absolutely- 2 hours of shoveling, accompanied by birdsong and beautiful trees/wind/snowfall.
There might have been some inconvenience in the northeast, but it was far from chaos. It’s been a very mild winter so far, and snow and cold is normal for us in January. We also get out and shovel it ourselves, so no need to call anyone babies. Cut the drama and be nice.
Chaos….lol
Chaos?!?!? Rofl!! In Massachusetts we call it winter.
We got about 18 inches up here in buffalo thursday, went outside today after it stopped and moved it out the way,now waiting for the next round.
Sounds typical of Buffalo. You folks always get buried up there.
That sounds like what I saw from the Toronto suburbs on TV every winter: Buffalo digging out from one blizzard after another. I found it rather confusing that Americans always made comments about how snowy it is in Canada. I don’t know what the winter snowfall data were for Toronto in those years; but the first snowfall of the season frequently did not arrive before Christmas.
Only 9 inches looks like everyone forgot how to deal with snow
January snow. Unprecedented.
It's not chaos....it's just snow that happens every year.
One should not build houses at the wrong spots........................
First of all I'm in NENJ about 10 miles "as the crow flies" from NYC and we got about 3 or 4 inches so I really don't know how they got double, seems to me to be the usual NE lib media overestimation. Secondly it stopped by 8AM and my neighborhood was cleared by 9AM. Roads was bare. People were out shoveling their property, the sun was out. The snow wasn't wet and heavy so it really wasn't a tough snow removal. People got to get outside and see for themselves rather than listening to the media.
Yea , it's pretty crazy how ....WINTER .... comes around every year since I've been alive for the past 62 years. I lived in Massachusetts some years back for a job and we had a couple of 2 foot snowstorms and they acted like the world was going to end. What are the SNOWFLAKES going to do in another 10 years???? LOL, has the internet turned men into complete SOYBOYS ?????
I hope every one will remain safe.
Thank you and same to you 💜
I love it!
Yeah… i remember the blizzards in the early 60s that kept us housebound in Nebraska. 🙄 it was normal. Now its alarming.
It looks so beautiful when you never had snow
We had “16” foot of snow in sierra mountain during holidays, we were crippled for 3 weeks with 6 to 7 foot snow in our driveway.
As someone from Montana, this just makes me laugh. A foot of snow is not chaotic. Try four feet of snow. We still had to go to school, still went to work. Nothing shut down. Kids ran around bundled up in snow suits. I get not being used to something, or not prepared. But it's hardly a big deal. jfc
They always over-react.
My boyfriend is excited to fly to Washington DC while everyone is being stranded in airports lol 😂
Winter. That's what it does.
Saw this one in the making!! We dodged the bullet here in Chicago last weekend!!
Yeah. This cold and snow was in South Korea and the East for about 2-3 days during Christmas. It was expected that that freezing cold and snow would make its way here. We got the cold in Chicago but we were spared from any big snow storm in Chicago. Only a couple more days and we'll be back above normal. Lets hope Lake Michigan doesn't freeze. That will be the first time I've seen in my lifetime the lake not freeze
I guarantee you more than one every weekend in Chiraq does NOTdodge the bullet. Stay safe.
"Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My mercy." (from the Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska; partial record 300)
Chaos? Lol. Don't over react. It happens every year. It just comes later now.
It’s North Dakota/Northern Minnesota winter in New York… this is totally normal for us
@@NateOnThe-Radio New York always got winter.
They act like we dont know how to take care of less than an inch of anow.
This global warming is brutal!
It's been going on for AGES!
Doesn't know the difference between climate and weather. Lets hope FL goes underwater
Snow is like a curse look at all the chaos it causes looking forward to spring and the end of this horrible COVID.
Snow doesn't cause chaos.....mentally bereft people cause the chaos. Snow is just snow....
Still don't understand why people want to live up there. We may get traffic jams in the south but at least it doesn't snow.
Chaos??? Really?
Anyone have information on how electric ⚡️ cars are maintaining during this intense weather?
LOL!
Chaos? Really? It's snow you dolts....it happens in the winter. When it gets cold it snows....i know that's a lot of info to process but I can assure you that it happens every year....
I see this, but I still miss New Jersey. Came back to California, but I’m not going to stay here. I would move to South Jersey if I moved back.
Hi🖐 From Dehradun
God is good to me. I lived only two hours drive away from NY. I only get a few inches of light Snow. But, I got 5 fingers frozen solid because my Fingers got wet & exposed to the freezing water. It hurts bad after I thaw them. I detests very much of cold weather. I wish we don't have Winter forever.
Snow is good, right?
The Northeast people know how to handle this weather
Us old timers do. This generation is whimping out. I'm in the middle of heavy lake effect east of Lake Ontario today. Everything in my county is closed. I can remember standing out and waiting for the school bus in worse snow than this.
@@anitajoss9649 Chaos
@@jimtom5027 are you old enough to have been through the blizzard of '66? Our barn was 200 yards from our house and we couldn't see that far. My Dad ran a rope from the house to the utility pole (half way) and on to the barn so we wouldn't get lost in the snow and wind going to do chores.
@@anitajoss9649 Yes, had to walk 2 miles to school bus. Snow back then didn’t stop us from our chores as life was simple back then. You had what you needed for winter by November except a few items
This just means more people are probably going to have thoughts about moving to Florida….it’s about 80-81 right now in shorts and sandals from trimming the grass 😎
🥶
More blizzards please.
nothing sounds good about kentucky
Have a amazing new year 🎉🎊🎊 American ..... Hahahaha
No more snow
"Labor shortage, worsened by COVID." Just say it news, workers were unnecessarily laid off due to the unconstitutional mandate.
It’s because a lot of people are testing positive nowadays, and have to leave work for a period of time, that there are staffing shortages. A lot of people getting fevers and stuff. It’s not about vaccination status.
The Climate Waits for No One
Thirty years ago, a friend of mine got into the green energy business and tried to pull me into it. I asked him what for, it isn’t serious. He said, “You have no idea how much money is being poured into it. Everyone wants in on it, politicians, financiers, businesspeople, the lot.” He was right, of course. Yet, no one wants to promote green energy in order to save the planet, but only to swell up their pockets even more. The declarations, therefore, remain in the assembly hall where they are stated, necessary actions are ignored, and the climate waits for no one: It will keep deteriorating.
The UN Production Gap Report which tracks the discrepancy between governments’ planned fossil fuel production and actual global production levels, states the following: “Despite increased climate ambitions and net-zero commitments, governments still plan to produce more than double the amount of fossil fuels in 2030 than what would be consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5°C [2.7°F].”
Energy sources and technologies do change, but not according to what is best for the planet. It changes according to the interests of politicians and money moguls, and it never benefits the planet or the majority of its inhabitants, namely all of us.
Since the climate waits for no one, eventually, it will catch up with us. Earth is a closed system, and in a closed system, there are consequences to exploitation: it hurts the abuser as well as the abused.
I don’t know when or at what cost, but eventually, we will all have to realize that we cannot take beyond what we need. We cannot keep exploiting Earth selfishly and thoughtlessly because it will turn against us.
Earth is like a submarine: there is only so much oxygen on board. If some crew members take more than their quota, the rest will not have enough, they will die, and the submarine will sink along with those who exceeded their quota.
We need constant reminders that we are one system, and we are all dependent on each other. We need to genuinely grasp that selfishness hurts us just as being exploitative hurts others. If we constantly remind ourselves that we are interdependent, we will behave with more consideration, and we will avoid the punitive impact of climate change.
The other option is to keep working as the UN’s Production Gap Report states that we are planning to work, and suffer nature’s unforgiving response. I hope we wise up in time because everyone will pay the price for this mistake.
