Rescue Crews Help Humpback Whale Towing Anchor off Gold Coast A rescue team worked to help a humpback whale that was towing an anchor and rope off Australia’s Gold Coast on Monday, August 14. Crews from the Sea World Rescue team successfully disentangled the whale from the equipment east of Surfers Paradise. Sea World told Storyful it was a “challenging operation,” as the whale was swimming at a pace of 8-10 knots. “The highly trained Sea World Foundation team managed to grapple a large buoy onto the trailing rope which put enough pressure to remove the anchor and rope from the whale’s tail fluke,” Sea World said. Orcas raised in captivity unfortunately don’t do well in the wild. They should have never been out there in the first place imo

@@arthurbrumagem3844 there are many still alive who were captured. And they should at least be moved to sea pens. Also, it’s the males who don’t do well, and that’s based on very little data.

I don't understand how anybody could mistake that as a orca!! Orcas have a very large pointed dorsal fin. at 0:10 and at 0:43 clearly not an orca

they’re probably joking. The title says humpback. The orcas are the ones trapped at seaworld which is why (they also probably get tax write offs) they do this to distract from the fact the violently stole babies from their families and force them to preform every day in a tank that probably drives them mad and with orcas from completely different parts of the world while not eating the natural diets.
