    I dont see any script in the link. There is long and boring video which is not possible to skip and lot of marketing stuff which looks like a SCAM! Waste of time.

    Great video, but I am a little confused. When you change a Search Ad into PM, does the budget for bidding have to increase?

    Hi Aaron, I checked this out and from what I could see, the report is based on assets not channels. It assumes that text assets are search so, as an example, text only Display ads get counted towards "search" among other misrepresentations. It's not actually giving you the channel breakdown. Maybe I have this wrong but everyone is calling this a breakthrough in channel insights and I just don't know how that can be when assets IE image, text or video are all interchangeable between channels.

      Hey mate, great question and the data collection is something that Mike explains further in the extended video. There are some assumptions made but Mike and the development team went to a great length to correctly seperate these with just example being that Display assets will also be shown with a logo so that was one of the rules that was used to seperate out search & display.

    but the fact that you know how it performs individually, just splitting it into separate campaigns won't fix anything, as the ads will still continue to run across all channels in the most random fashion. I don't understand about that ROAS you mentioned by saying you will turn those ad groups into separate campaigns.

      It's the nature of Pmax mate. It's starts looking for cold traffic at first but the longer it runs the more it focuses on the products/assets that delivers your set goal. Hence optimizing in PMax is crucial

      @@ceeswals8323 yea, but how to optimise if there's nothing to optimise? And it's all jumbled up together. Isn't better to just run individual search, gdn and youtube campaigns? I'm not talking about shopping ads, that's entirely different. Pmax seems to generate a lot of leads = but all fake leads or completely irrelevant people contacting us.

      @Dimitriy Sinkov fair point. I don't know your specific case of course but if your already running search can you get some audience insights from there? Add them as signals. Als you can try excluding placements. You can do so on account level. If you can't it's because you haven't run a display campaign yet. Just create a dummy display and you can go ahead and exclude. How long has the campaign been running for?

    Aaron, Google has a default report for performance max that shows placement of the ads. It appears that ads are mainly placed on political extremist sites and children's mobile app games. This does not appear to match the Audience signal that I set up in the ad. (Educated professionals for engineering and manufacturing.) Are you having the same experience?

    Hi Aaron,
    My google ad account is brand new and I haven't ran any ads yet, so no data available.
    My budget is 26$ per day.
    Do you think that is enough for performance max?
    Some guru's say that you need at least 100$ a day for Pmax to be useful.
    Because of this advice I am about to set up my shopping campaign. However I just watched your video about 2 weeks ago talking about google shopping being dead. So now I am not sure which one to use.
    What is your view on that? Thank you!!

      You can do PMax on lower budgets. Just don't spread too much. Don't go mental on asset groups. The key to optimizing Pmax is getting as much data pumped through as possible. With lower budgets it just means it takes longer. With that budget I'd say set it up and come back 8 weeks later to see where you can optimize. Large part of pmax succes with smaller budget is... drumroll *patience*

      Also, I only sell one product in different variants, colorwise. So I only have one asset group. I do have the patience to wait 8 weeks on optimising as long as the 8 weeks get me at break even. Otherwise i'll burn through my funds. Regarding my situation that I have only 1 asset group, would you then recommend me going like 20 euro's on pmax and then 6 dollars on search?

      @Succesful Pant No problem and yes Im Dutch. I guess the "Cees" gave it away.
      I,d have to know the type of product to give you the best answer but with one product and you have some nice assets/creatives this could still very much work. You could also run a Search campaign for a bit just to get a feel of your target audiences (set to observation). These could than serve as audience signals. A one product PMax should give you a fair amount of data on lower budgets. I suggest you create two asset groups to see which performs better, than continue testing between copies each time you have atleast 5k to 6k impressions

      @Succesful Pant I missed the rest of your post. Yes that would be a good starting point indeed. Don't go to broad on search. Make every click count. For Pmax make sure you use some placement exclusions. With lower budgets you got to be as precise as possible

      Correct. Not in this script. However there are all sorts of scripts out there. Shop ROI etc. Just give it a google

      Hey mate, it should do as the data is feed from the Google Ads account, so it will just show the campaign & asset names from the Google Ads account
