- In my last video of the X pro Templar 250 dirt bike I bought and unboxed, the most affordable Cheap Amazon pit bike dual sport, there’s many different brands Tao Tao, Apollo, Trailmaster, but I decided to go with the Xpro. In this video I upgrade the stock carb to a Nibbi 30mm carburetor, I cover jetting the carb, I also upgraded the battery, and kick stand along with other simple upgrades for the X Pro Templar 250cc Amazon Chinese dirt bike Dual Sport.

Finally. Mike is back in the house. Great to hear from ya man. Gonna watch the video now 😊
Thanks Rich! 😊👍
Great to see you back on the bike. You make the absolute best stuff. Thanks
Thanks man! I really appreciate it 😊👍
Been waiting for this one!
Right on! 😊👍
Spark arrestor was a great tip. Thanks!
Thanks Matt 😊👍 definitely save the woods and save on a ticket 🎫
Awesome mountain bike..🦾
Thanks Fred! 😊👍
Your prior video helped convince me to pick one up for myself. Been having a blast on it. It was exactly what i meeded to get me back into riding.
A timing adjustment, larger main jet, valve adjustment, larger header, freer flowing air filter, some performance synthetic oils in engine and forks,a new brand name plug, and boot or coil, wire and boot, tune it and possibly have some extra oomph, reliability, maybe 😁...
It sounds good ! No hesitation .I pinched my throttle cable on KDX wide open between headset and the steering stop and I looped it .
So far it’s made a nice difference installing that Nibbi 30mm carb on the Templar.
Man that sucks about looping out on your KDX. Those KDX 200 bikes are fantastic on the trails! I really liked mine. 😊👍
Always informative! Love the blue sky on the trail ride! Thank you! 🌞
Thanks for watching! 😊👍
Thanks for talking about the carb as in depth as you did I’m about to take mine off my bike to clean it and you just taught me a bit more about them
On my GY6 that giant knob makes it easy to adjust idle, but my carb is wide open and I can just reach down at a traffic light to tweak it if needed. I can see if it were buried being a pain though.
I like your rear fender redesign. These things happen. Thanks always. I always like your context. You have a calm, honest, format that is always appreciated.
Haha yes that fender got jacked up 😂
Thanks man for checking out my videos! I really appreciate it 😊👍
I would recommend adding a larger foot for the kickstand or at least bringing a kickstand foot pad
Mike, we refer to the stock tires on the Templars as "big wheel tires" and if your of a certain age you know exactly what that implies...we're on the fence as to whether a set of gummys would ruin some of the fun and liveliness of these things. Love the gummys on my 300 2 stroke but thats a very different experience.
Haha 😂 yes I know what you are talking about 👍 I probably will ride the stock tires for a while before replacing them, it’s a hard balance for a dual sport bike, there’s always a trade off for long lasting on the pavement and good traction on the trails. If you come up with a tire combo you like let me know.
Thanks for the upload dude, looks like a fun little bike..:)
Thanks for checking out my new video man 😊👍
Really enjoying these videos, have been seriously considering picking one of these bikes up just to play around with since watching these 🤙🏻
Thanks for checking out my new video! So far I have been really enjoying this bike. Time will tell but I have a feeling it’s going to hold up well with basic maintenance. 👍
Great video mate, I can't wait to see your trail riding vid!
With a bit of tuning I'm sure it'll fly 👍
Another great video. 💪
Thanks Chris 😊
Great episode Mike 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Right on! Thanks 😊
Awesome Mike, I had an old cr 125 that I made modification to.. adds down force !
Looks like a lot of fun Mike.
Thanks Doug 😊👍
I dont get why youtube waited 7 days to pop this to my feed. Another great video.
Thanks for checking out my new video 👍 Yes YT seems to not notify most of my subscribers anymore, at least YT didn’t unsubscribe you like they have been doing to countless of my subscribers in the past year. It sure seems like YT is trying to sink my channel.
Like the others, I have been excited for this video and it didn't disappoint. Good work. I also enjoy your music. Looking forward to seeing how you approach removing the cat converter in an upcoming video. Cheers!
Thanks Brian 😊👍 I probably will cover the Cat in a future video but I did get some flack from some people when I mentioned it in a previous video, people thought it would destroy the woods and animals if I removed it 😂
sweet mods done right!!!! thanks!!!!
Glad you like my video! Thanks 😊
I felt you on the tamper proof screws way too dang hard...😂
Haha yes they suck 😂
That's a pretty sweet bike, also the Icon tools are awesome. I have a pretty good collection of them. I use the screwdrivers almost every day.
Those Icon tools seem to work really well 👍 all my Hercules 20 volt cordless tools have been holding up great as well.
I Definitely have been enjoying this bike so far, time will tell how it holds up but so far it’s far better then I would have expected it to be.
Loving the dirty bike content!
Right on! Thanks 😊
Dude, ur videos are awesome! You give great explanation of everything! Im not sure if i should get the 5 speed version of this bike or the 6 speed? Any thoughts?
Great vid Mike!! These bikes always made me wonder if they were good or not. To be honest i kind of wish i bought one of those gpx tse250r instead of my DRZ but at the end of the day my DRZ will be worth more. Maybe ill get lucky and find a good used gpx to play around with lol
👍👍thanks for sharing.
No problem 👍
Was neat to hear your music in this vid, reminds me of your older vids with the drum breaks. Also reminded me of a drummer named Yusef Dayes, I recommend that you check out their music.
Just casually riding trails with an almost brand new bike and doing live commentary while you're at it. You're a better rider than I am for sure! 😂 Greetings from the Netherlands, Mark
Thanks for checking out my new video 👍
Haha good times out on the trail 😊
Man your tractor is turning out really nice!
I had a 2006 Roketa. Had horrible rear suspension. Found that a DR125 rear shock fit pretty well. Did a lot to make it a better ride.
Awesome 👌
Thanks 😊

Wooo! New Festiva content, love these bike videos. Im more of an ATV guy though. Maybe you can do that at some point.
Thanks man! Yes I have an ATV video idea but I’m still looking for another beat ass old 4x4 quad before I can make that video. Probably early summer I will have that video.
Take care and have a great weekend 👍
@@Mikefestiva Kawasaki Prairie. Great machines. Sporty but 4x4. Solid rear axle. Should be able to find a 400 for cheap!
I got one of these bikes like a year ago got 968 miles on it and honestly I hate it, it may just be me but I've had nothing but issue with it but I'm not giving up hope gonna try this. I just changed the timing on the intake and now it sounds and responds a hell of a lot better.
I use the same spark arrestor in my two stroke I have to pull it out and clean it once in a while
man i wish these bikes were bigger for my giant 6'4" ass. Also Fisch Racing is an awesome company, they're my transmission adapter sponsor! I didn't even know they had a Fisch moto division that's awesome!
Thanks for checking out my new video! Haha yes this is a little small for you, the X Model sounds like it’s a bit bigger but no one seems to actually talk about that in every video I have seen on them. Interesting is that Fisch out of BC Canada as well?
@@Mikefestiva yep, exact same company i just checked their location on their website. same address even.
Check out the Trailmaster 38, 36 or 35. Seat height is 37 inches. I’m 6’2” and I fit very comfortably. The Trailmaster series seem to be of better build quality too from what I’ve noticed in multiple videos.
My man!
It’s here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Haha yes 👍
Thanks!
You bet! 😊
You could prbly get the xr200 hi rev kit the cdi box looks to be the same. That engine layout is honda xr200 all the way
Bought mine this January and I’ve put 2,300 ish miles on my Templar 250 x. Holding up good so far with daily commute and occasional trail riding when the weather is nice in Washington 😂
Nice man! Glad it’s been holding up well for you. So far I really like it, it’s far better then I would have expected it to be 😊👍
@@Mikefestiva yeah same! Lol
Tamper proof screws are the worst. But at least someone else hadn't gotten to the tamper proof screws before you and put them back in.
Love this! Keep the content coming @Mike! Are you aware of an Amazon bike that can take a bigger rider? 6'1" 200lbs here, don't think the 250 will suit me.
I think the X model Templar with adjustable suspension is overall a bigger bike, the frame and suspension and Engine is different, I hear the X model is overall larger? But I haven’t seen many videos of people mentioning there height when sitting on them. Something worth looking into.
In our riding group we have both the X and the base model. They are completely different bikes with the X being significantly larger, it is the same size as a KTM or Husky whereas the base model several inches smaller in every dimension and honestly fills a void in the current dirtbike market where shorter riders are left tiptoeing especially in off camber singletrack.
@@michaeldavison430
Great to know. I was wondering the same thing. All these bikes look small.
cool bike. unfortunatly I dont think we can get those in Canada
Haven't watched whole vid yet, I'm curious about the fork suspension travel. Did you ever put a zip tie on the stanchion and see how much travel it has? They rarely list that important spec with these bikes I have noticed. Also wondering about rear suspension travel but that's harder to measure I guess.
I put a 4 degree key and it really woke up the power with the Nibbi on my GPX.
Right on 👍 where did you order your 4° key from? I will definitely check that out.
@@Mikefestiva Henner motorsports will get you where you want to go
Templar X has rimlocks installed in both wheels out of the box. Run low pressure on the dirt.
Yes mine also has rim locks, you still won’t get down to 6or 5 PSI without a pinched tube. Tubeless is the way to go, but because I’m still using it on the street I probably won’t go all out on that and gummy tires.
Thanks for video. I have the Templar M 120 miles so far all stock except chain and bark busters. Been bad weather. What is the model of that battery?
It’s the Antigravity 4cell battery. 👍
Looks like jones creek trails 🤔
Great episode! How did you settle on going with the Xpro and would you know when they get them in stock? They look sold out.
I would recommend checking out my first video I made on the bike, I explain why I decided to get it. I would suggest calling Powersportsmax ( the place I ordered mine from) or any other place that sells them and asking when they maybe back it stock, I don’t work with the company so I would not know when they come back in stock again.
I heard pz30 carb with accelerator pump really awakens those bikes
Accelerator pump?
i just got my xpro storm can i put the nibbi carb on it and what other upgrades can i do to it
I put a Fisch Moto spark arrestor in my bike - and now I can't get the thing back out. I used the loctite, and the screws are so cheap, they stripped out inside. Kind of defeats the purpose of it being removable for cleaning.
Just shows you how a "simple" thing like that idle screw can screw you... -The bike sounds impressive. I am not big into off-roads, (used to be when I was much younger), but I also do learn quite a bit from watching you fiddling with it. (Any further camper builds?)
Thanks for watching 👍
Probably not any new camper builds planned for the near future, but I do plan on getting out with my mini truck and camper soon for a weekend camping video 😊
what about the hole where you removed the OEM muffler tip? wont exhaust leak from that and bypass the spark arrestor?
You're probably right, but really the main reason to add one is to be legal in a lot of places.
🤗
the expro rxe 250 is 85 mph stock im more than likely going faster than the 85 it feels like its still climbing in top speed test and the rxe250 addresses all the problems from the hawk and templar models and made the rxe250 so far no complaints its a very good dual sport you should possibly check the xpro rxe250.. i know im really enjoying mine lol.. enjoy your day.
What gearing are you talking about? A 250 going 85mph? Difficult to imagine.
@jcx5659 u never heard of a cbr250
Can you put a mileage update at the beginning of each video for these Xpro bikes?
Yes I will keep everyone posted on the miles as I start riding more. 👍
Get a seat done by rich's in kingston!
Watch the shipping from xpro as they don't use freight insurance and ship signature not required if your purchase arrives damaged they will give you the runaround... I am still fighting with it a month+ later still unresolved...
That’s a bummer, I ordered my bikes from Power sports max and luckily they shipped fine. The company was good about the headlight cage that needed to be replaced for my Storm 150 and the tail lights that went out. They shipped them out pretty quickly.
What got damaged in shipping on your bike?
@@Mikefestiva frame and plastics took a forklift fork bent frame and put a hole in the plastics
In the last episode for this templar you mentioned adding an oil cooler. Have you decided against it?
I have it still but haven’t installed it yet, I probably will install it this summer but I do wonder if it will be worth installing? Trying to weigh out if the complexity and extra lines are worth the gains on a dirt bike?
@@Mikefestiva I believe that there are conversion kits that are plug and play for that bike
@@rennierrodil6119 Yes this kit fits right into the side case oil screen filter cap, it should be plug and play, I’m just not sure if I’m going to run it due to extra lines to possibly get ripped off when riding on the trails. I may fit it up and see how clean I can install the kit to keep it low profile this summer.
Are you able to peel off all those stickers
If you think removing and reinstalling the carb bank for an inline 4 is miserable you should try an old V4. The first time I had to clean and rebuild the carbs on my old V65 Magna, I seriously considered just selling the bike about halfway through. 🤣
Haha I bet it’s awful 😂
Là một người Mỹ nhưng mike rất thích sử dụng xe được sản xuất tại châu á thật thú vị 😂.
I haven’t owned many US made vehicles other then my old Ford F250. Mostly Japanese vehicles for me.
@@Mikefestiva thật tuyệt vời những nội dung của bạn rất dễ hiểu cho người mới
I can't find one available anywhere.
I’m pretty sure they are out of stock, I’m sure they will be back in stock soon.
Why carb modi fi. And why upgrade spark assestor
I explained it in the video.
I appreciate you caring about the forest but $90 for that is actual robbery. 1-1/4 OD pipe, steel mesh, and some JB weld would do the same for $2...
I think you may have missed the actual point of that, It’s not about putting mesh in the exhaust, it’s about avoiding a much larger ticket when out on any state trail or forest service road. Good luck talking yourself out of a ticket with some JB weld and mesh.
why does no one get the flatslide nibbi carbs they are a million times better
A million times better 😂 a little bit of an exaggeration but I’m sure they are better. What’s the model number that will fit the Templar?
