Former McDonald's employee here. Honestly depends, some stores get a bag of mix that's the insides and wrap it in store, others just get them pre made. I believe most stores get them entirely pre made now.
unless they changed it since I worked there 2015-2017, the filling is shipped to us to thaw, then wrapped in tortillas with cheese, then microwaved for when ordered.
Every time I try to get a McDouble with extra cheese they end up charging it as a double cheeseburger, which is damn near $4. McDonald’s has gotten crazy expensive lately.

Sure I can understand why a milkshake is bad cause thats lots of calories. but a cheeseburger must be one of the better things to get on McDonalds.

When i was delivering pizza i worked up a disgust for it, I could not smell it, let alone eat it for some time. I wonder if its the same for McDonalds workers but with their food ?
I wonder if McDonald's managers would get upset if an employee went to Burger King or Wendy's on their lunch break and brought the food back to eat in the McDonald's break room😂😂😂

Also, The mustard is hard to see come out of the dispenser on camera, and it’s a little thick compared to the ketchup.
Today I learned that the wrapper has different names printed on it, and you ensure that whichever sandwich you're making appears on the top.
