Was just in Colorado and had to be rerouted over Independence Pass..low gearing was vital!!! Did get to go through Eisenhower Tunnel. Was so glad my MH is only 24 ft long going on Indepedence and driving through Aspen. Am back home in MT now. Loved Ouray but didn't enjoy road to Silverton in the pouring rain.
How many people did it take to peel your fingers off the steering wheel when you got down Independence? 😲 Glad you were able to make it home safely! That mudslide is causing quite the stir on 70!
@@AlcoholFreeRV Since I was camping in Golden, I was sooo glad to get there. The concert I went to at Red Rocks was worth every hand-cramping, eye-bulging, neck-stiffness I suffered from rainy Independence Pass and just-cleared mud slides along the way.
That's a heck of a drive. We made the trip to Asheville a couple years ago during a light icing. The trip back wasn't so bad. Beautiful views though. Love the channel name.
