I have the normcore for a year now, I only make coffee with my aeropress. I basically use the James Hoffman Technique but inverted. I think the sweet spot is at 12 clicks. And you are right, the lighter the roast the harder it is to grind,... but a medium to medium/light roast is super fast/ easy. I hope more people find this gem.

I was also a bit disappointed with the Vssl grind quality, particularly for espresso. But rather than getting rid of my Vssl, because i love the style, I just upgraded my burrs. I picked up the timemore s2c660 burrs off Aliexpress. I switched them out without a problem and my grind is much better now for all brew styles. I'm glad i kept my Vssl.

Thanks for the video! Definitely adding this to my list to look into and crossing the VSSL off

Me too learnt, that grinder and taste are sisters. Hope, you will find a good facility soon.

Hello. Thank you so much for your video. I also just bought this beautiful hand grinder.
I tried to see if anyone has a video about "how to clean a manual hand grinder after every grind" but no luck. Just wonder if you have some time to make a video about this. All the videos that I could find are about deep clean or taking the grinder in apart. Thank you so much.

No need to clean for every grind unless you’re grinding something not coffee. Just prime ot with a small handful of coffee then measure out your cup.

Literally going through the same debate. I’m tempted by the 1Zpresso Jmax, but the price and quality of the normcore is so tempting. just curious, but did you ever look at any of the 1Zpresso hand grinders?

I did! I think it scores really well. Take a look at Kyle on CZcams he tests all the them thoroughly. I chose norm ore for quality price and color

How many clicks were you at for a good grind for v60???

Hmm sorry I don’t how many clicks. Grind some and test the size. Trial and error works the best.
