Bravo, Jack! Have you considered producing a tier list of coffee grinders? Your list would be very objective and realistic!
Thank you. Every now and then I will compare some of them. Often different coffee beans or styles of shots taste better on one or other grinder and so on. To do it extensively would require a lot of time and effort- both commodities that I am in short supply. Rest assured though, with any video, I will give you my honest opinion. I am still awaiting Kafatek Flat Max which together with MC5 will be like a benchmark to compare the others.
I really liked the show. Yes, it's a fantastic show and a very beautiful way to demonstrate the difference. I really enjoyed it, thanks for your efforts.

hi Jack, I bought the Kmax after watching your review and I also bought a C3 pro for using at work ( couldn't resist with the sale during holidays) and I would say I prefer the C3 pro. the price and performance and the grip of the C3 pro are unbeatable. :). I also tried the normcore from my brother and I hate it especially the grip.

Great video as always Jack! Curious as to what your personal daily driver grinder is? Im sure it’s either the MC5 or the df83 lol i know i said previously that even tho i have better grinders i still lean towards niche on the daily since the workflow is so smooth. Curious if you are in a similar situation and use a more inferior grinder because the workflow is so much better
Thank you! It is indeed MC5. I really like it, easy to dial in, pleasure to use. What I am missing in my current setup is something that would give me sharp notes and ultra clarity. I have DF64 with nicely aligned cast burrs for pour over but considering putting MP burrs back.

i had both and my winner was C3, normcore did it really good but i use coarse grind for v60 and i got more fines on NormCore than C3... is hard to test grinders because also the coffee, the type of beans and the roast level may cause the results cary from person to person...
But overall was a great test...! for less than 100$ Espresso/pour over, is very hard to beat this 2 grinders
Thank you for sharing your experience. You are absolutely right, we can’t judge any grinder on just 1 shot or 1 pour over. Both of them are very good and inexpensive . At some point I want to do blind tasting C3 vs Comandante. It should be interesting.
@@mycoffeeshow111 haha that will be David vs Goliath...I was kinda able to match the grind sizes between both even with c2... NGL i'm very impressed with the chestnut line from Timemore, if you can get the Esculptor from Timemore will be really great!!!

I've got C3 for half a year and i should say that's a hell of a grinder. I've bought it in Ali for 50 dollars and it's super cheap for that grinding quality. I would say it's excellent considering the price. I also have C40 MK4 which I use everyday and I cant say that there is huge or even significant difference between them. Yep, I could say "C40 is a bit more rich, acidity is a bit more complex etc", but come on - the only HUGE difference is a price. Although I'm absolutely fine with my C40 :)
Thank you for sharing. Agree, I had C2 and it was great and C3 can also grind for espresso. At some point I am planning to do a blind test C3 vs C40. Should be fun.

How different C3 is from C3 Pro?
I use a timemore c3 for my goto daily driver v60 first thing to take to work, very happy with it - as you said I came to the conclusion the Normcore wasn't worth the extra for the accessories that I didn't need, but you are right about the quality as I dropped my lid/handle and it split in half so had to be super glued :)

man, i appreciate the effort, but why on earth are you referencing to the compared product as "this one" and "that one" instead of timemore and normcore lol, it was kind of dificult to follow
