Chris Harris was recently invited to drive the car in Bahrain and put it through its paces. Is this the most revolutionary hypercar of recent times? Capable of lapping 24H Le Mans circuit in 3mins 20seconds!

It's such a huge part of the experience, there's a few points where the film cuts to outside shots and I heard the engine screaming which just transports me back to watching F1 as a kid!
The early videos that came out a few years ago (just checked, 2018 - yikes!), of just the engine doing dyno testing at Cosworth, were amazing.
It's practically like an early '90s F1 racecar. Us old whippersnappers who grew up watching F1 in the '90s are over the moon with this car! It sounds GODLIKE!

Aston needs to enter this in the WEC as soon as possible.
I don’t think the current regulations allow such a car. The engine will need a strong hybrid packaging. That itself could change the whole design of the car
@@athilsageer The Glickenhaus and the ByKolles Vanwall don't have any Hybrid systems. Aston could go on the same route.
Sorry guys but the rules were made for that particular car and Aston were actually committed to debut in 2021 WEC season. It all fell apart when the company crumbled after that COVID thing and Lawrence Stroll came to the rescue. He axed the program and launched the F1 team instead. Now it is too late to go back as the rules were tweaked to accomodate more manufacturers in the WEC such as Porsche, BMW, Alpine, Lamborghini and maybe Honda (using the US only Acura machine if they want it).

@@athilsageerThe rules were designed around this car. The reason the weight of the LMH class is so high is because Aston pushed so they could race this. They committed for entry in 2021 then cancelled so Stroll could go F1

Very true.... except he did really, really like that Alfaholics GTA-R too. It's impossible to ever say something is best, it depends on the purpose. Different cars for different courses I guess!

a more likely scenario is that they were all barely alive after driving the regular Valkyrie. The AMR Pro might actually make them pass out while driving 😂
@@wesd991 I reckon they’ve taken onboard the fact he’s an experienced GT Driver and also the fact he’s driven the Aston Martin Vulcan round Yas Marina too. Doesn’t surprise me somewhat he’s so unbelievably capable.

Electric is in its infancy.... just give them 15 years...
@@japslaprelectric has been around of a very long time. The battery tech isn't improving fast enough for a 15 year window. Either heavy cars or short races. 100 years is more reasonable to match this performance on all levels. Motors can be light and powerful but we don't have a good enough energy storage method.
@Not_Gladwin I said that in terms of super/hyper cars. We don't need 400 mile range in them. Storage isn't an issue. The USE of electric in cars is in its infancy stages... look at the difference from 15 years ago..... itll do the same in another 15.

I haven't seen Chris this excited since the Alfaholics car, and that's saying something. It is a damn shame this car (or versions of it) are not currently slated for involvement in HyperCar. I believe "a" Valkyrie was originally part of that plan before their financial woes.

What a car, awesome piece of engineering. And a class video too, Chris never disappoints, and is never afraid to tell you what his true feelings are. Going by the bleeps, he likes it. A lot. Would be interesting to see the time difference between that & Aston's F1 car. Especially after the showing in the GP 🤔

When a driver of Chris’s caliber is laughing as he is “ putting the pedal to the metal” and saying it’s the fastest car he has ever driven well , you know it’s gotta be a “nice car”. Based on other comments he made while “ seeing what the car could do “ I’d venture to say he had what drivers call “ serious bun suction” . Thanks for the ride along Chris 👍✌️
The AMR PRO, without doubt, one of the greatest cars powered by an ICE on the planet. Truly wonderful. And I have to say Chris's enthusiasm made this film.

the AMR pro is probably faster but not by a big margin
It probably will win with it's 1000hp engine and much greater downforce. The T.50s however might be the more enjoyable car with the central driving position. We'll have to wait until Chris drives it!

@@GabePlaysYT the T.50s likely has more downforce. The fan is a lot stronger than the standard T.50 fan and unlike the road model it’s constantly on full speed, even in low speed corners.
So while the Aston may build the same or more downforce on a straight, the T.50s will have the advantage on a more technical track

This is my motivation to just fucking get on with my life and grow so damn much, I would own one of these. Damn it... I am fully jealous of you for being able to have driven this, Chris. A great video, but for me nothing will ever beat Chris's F40 Vs F50 video. It is like a mini-movie with just the most magical videography and angles it is a large slice of motoring heaven that I watch on a regular basis.

The Valkyrie, AMG Project 1 and GMA T50 make up the new holy trinity of modern hyper cars.
Who else were they going to give it to for the last two hours? Not quite the P1 spanking but special access and footage non the less. Epic. I get the impression that every time Chris drives one of these type of cars that each one might be the last.

LMP2 would smoke it easily
An F1 car would obliterate a time set by this car. Though I'd love to see Fernando Alonso do the timed laps on the same circuit after his showing at the first GP.
@@r129r16pflNo it wouldn't. This car is 1000HP with hypercar downforce. LMP2 has same performance as LMH and this has 300hp more than LMH
@@jimross5838 Horsepower is good on straights (especially on tracks like Bahrain with lots of straights), but all of these special hypercar trackcars can't hold a candle when it comes to aero on proper racecars. I suspect on a shorter track with less striaghts even a GT3 car would be close to this, let alone an LMP car (forget about the F1 obviously).
I’ve seen reviews by Chris driving both GT3 and LMP2 cars,In this review he says that there maybe faster cars out but this is the fastest car he’s ever driven..

It is still unreal to think that basically an F1 car is street legal. The engine tune is just beyond extatic. Super nice review as always and this one is beyond special... if I ever have a chance one day - I will definitely do my best to get at least a lap drive.
Unfortunately, the AMR PRO version isn't street legal. It's track only!
@@panher Yes, but for me the engine is still the same, ok, detuned, but still... so as close as you can potentially to get to F1 type car on a public road.
They are prepared amr pro for le mans. But later le mans program was cancelled
@@motorconcierge I mean, technically, that'd probably be the AMG ONE given that has an actual F1 engine buried beneath the carbon fibre... To be completely honest the 'wow, that's road legal!' buzz has never been the same since one Mr Harris showcased a road legal Formula Ford several years ago.
@@smiddlehurst1 Honestly, I can't look at AMG ONE since the Wattson's carwow testdrive... but yes in principle it falls into the same bracket.
For Chris, who has basically driven everything, to be this blown away, really says something about what Aston has done here. One can only hope the owners actually use that car as intended instead of locking it away in some collection somewhere in a bubble.

You can have your Koenigsegg, Bugatti, twin turbo hybrid Ferrari. Gimme this, all day! Atmospheric V12, F1 caliber downforce, and a track to play!
