Yes, it’s normal. It’s a breather / overflow tube. As the coolant moves through the cooling system it expands, the breather tube allows air to escape so that the pressure doesn’t build up.

There is a hose comes out of that resivoir that doesn’t attach to any thing. Is it normal?

I think Kawasaki could have made it easier, but I've had bikes that I need to remove a full fairing just to check the coolant level!

As long as it is motorcycle coolant any of them should be fine. I use Castrol 154D1C Motorcycle Coolant: amzn.to/3ehIweu
