♥️I'm 19 and I love the 50s style but I'm very self conscious to wear anything in that era because 1. I like the fashion but it's not my lifestyle and 2. The one time I did go out to the store with my hair up in a ponytail with a victory roll and a bandanna there was this group of "alternate" people who kept looking at me and laughing and I've been too self conscious/scared to wear anything vintage ever since than. 😕

I’m not confident enough to wear the clothes but you have made me confident enough to wear my second favourite which is like 80’s streetwear. I used to take swing dance lessons here in Los Angeles, in which there’d be a Lindy Hop dance every Wednesday night and it was so wonderful to see other folks having a blast from the past dancing together! A social event with class and good old fashioned fun.
