It's been a while my friends. I've had a pretty polarized 2019 and I cannot tell you how much your kind words have meant to me. I have been in a bit of a creative drought and i was very concerned about letting you all down.

Duuuude this bittersweet slow tempo really makes you feel like you're walking through the woods alone, knowing it's up to you to save it. I adore that.
And for a character that has been introduced after such a tragic loss. And a sound of hope for those that can still be saved.

this song is so fitting for caduceus, because his entire aura and feel is that feeling of "a loved one has passed away, someone you loved, but the time for grieving and mourning is over, now all you can do is cherish their memory" like, an optimistic melancholy? it's sad, but you know you're going to be ok, and that's really beautiful

Absolutely love this piece. It's so somber yet uplifting. Just like The Duce himself. Critical role should definitely hire you to do their music. For both campaigns as well as the animated specials. Each piece you let out is a testimony to the character and their journey. And CritRole would be lucky to have you.

It feels lonely, like his years spent in solitude, and yet calming, soothing, cool water rushing through his forest he's desperate to save, but strong, emotional, as if he's slightly confused on where he is, but confident it's where he's supposed to be. It's beautiful.
This was really interesting to listen to in comparison to your other works . Beautiful, as always . The only way to describe the feeling this piece invokes is , being tasked with a responsibility larger than yourself . Then having to surpass all the challenges in order to achieve said goal . I almost did my ballroom senior solo dance to Mollymauk's Theme, but the song ended up too long. Even so, I still have plans to choreograph a dance to it one day because I love it so much. And now I have this song to add to that list.

This is a marvel of a song. I love all the woodwinds and strings playing together. It feels like you're using underrated players of their sections (oboe or whatever that reedy wind instrument is, and the viola for strings) on purpose, because they're rare like a non-nomadic firbolg would be. And the melancholy tone of the horns coming through halfway into the song has this perfect feeling of bittersweet triumph, almost like the tea leaves breaking out from the soil above a grave. I'm writing as I listen for the first time, and my mouth is pleasantly wide open in shock all the while.
I'd capped off the post and sent before the drummier part hit at the end. Holy heck, I'm in love with the music here. This kinda singlehandedly broke my burnout on critical role thanks to outside factors getting in the way. Time to pick up where I left off!
Dude, after that Fjord lo-fi album came out, I was all like "hey, I should check that other person who makes great Critical Role music!" Like three days ago! What great timing
Gorgeous piece. So much more chill than the other themes, something that I could see myself just listening too when the world gets to be too much, too loud. And isn't that just Caduceus? He's such a steady character that just stays calm even in the tough moments. A rock among rapids. Well done in capturing his character as well as you did the others. Hope that the Holidays and New Year treats you well and lets you do more of what you love to do.

I think, from the 4-minute marker to about the end of the piece, shall be henceforth called "Blooming Grove, Blossoming Tealeaf", or at least "Blossoming Tealeaf", if anything.
Thought long and hard about it. I've come back to relisten to this piece since ep. 140 for obvious reasons, and that segment really gives me solid vibes that allude to that particular moment at the end of the ep. where Caduceus asks ever so nicely to "put it back". He nurtured the earth as a gardner would, tended to it, protected it. A gardner is worth his salt when he understands what plants require to grow and flourish, tealeaves are no exception. A seed can grow from a portion so long as the root and stem are intact. With proper care and love, a fragment can be made whole. Caduceus made sure the earth remembered him, and when he asked the earth to put it back, the earth did just that. Because the earth remembered him.

There were multiple moments here where the music brought me back to specific parts of the campaign, like seeing the nein approach his temple for the first time, to his confession to his family about eating the lily bc he couldn’t hear Melora anymore. Fantastic work❤

Great question! i am actually working on some projects with a few friends but i would absolutely love to do VM as well. i've had to really stretch my style for these themes, i think VM feels a bit more in line with my natural style so we'll see!

I almost forgot about about these songs until this showed up in my suggestions. I suddenly remembered how much I loved the themes you made for these awesome characters and am really looking forward to Beauregard's and Jester's if you plan on making them. I have no idea what they'd even begin to sound like but you have an ear for this stuff. Creating music is your forte, mine is just an overactive imagination with no real focus. Whatever they may be, I look forward to them and your skill. Now to go to bed. Maybe I'll work more on some world building for my D&D stuff while keeping this type of music in mind. Good luck dude.

Have been enthusiastically waiting for the next piece of music you would come out with. Let's just say I am FAR from impressed. Absolutely wonderful work here. It perfectly captures Cad's vibe, and I'm living for the slight techno "blippy" tune with the synth toward the end.

The part between 1:54 and 3:07 was an absolute master piece. It seems to perfectly capture the creation of the jorhouse tree. From the planting, to the tree growing, to them creating all of those lights, and you just get to feel relaxed and admire it. It’s absolutely stunning.
I love how triumphant and yet sweet this is. it is so perfect for Caduceus and it made me so happy to listen to.

You know you've done something great when someone has a 250 song playlist and this comes up and they're like "What is this?" and then I start to tab out of what I am doing but stop and go "oh yeah, this is Petrichor". Tbf though literally all of your Critical Role music is genuinely fantastic. Ballade of the Brave is my favorite but there is a reason this one is on a playlist of some of my favorite instrumental pieces.

I just caught up with Campaign 2 (after 2 months of extensive binge watching, seriously, have not been watching anything else since September), and I found this on Twitter when checking the hashtag and hoooooly shit this is fricking beautiful...! I got chills in places I didn't know you could! I had so many images from the whole campaign flashing in my mind listening to this, and I'm feeling so nostalgic~
