very informative. normally we are not aware of these things as it's the nurses always giving the medication, but as doctors these are vital information. thankyou
Sir can u please share a video position of sleeping of IJ??? I am in too much pain dont know how to sleep like the pillow should be normal or bit more upward and also want to know which pain killer should be use for pain in chest with cvp
Patient on hemodialysis and requiring high noradrenaline support. He has one triple lumen HD catheter. Can we keep norad on one of the ports of the same HD cath while he undergoes dialysis or he requires another additional temporary peripheral line for norad till dialysis gets over?
Sir in central line catheter kit we get one extra attachment to fix catheter which can be placed before the triangular head that we take stitch to skin to fix the catheter. Want to know why it is given and when to place that.
First one is not actually fixing the CVC. If you try and pull it you'll see you can entirely take it out accidentally. So that's the use of the second attachment that you should use on better fixing it to the skin.
You do realise that noone suggests using sterile gloves just to handle 3ways, right? Unless you consider wearing plain gloves is better than washing your hands before and after small stuff like this.
this has been explained many times before also. Posting the CDC guidelines for the same. Please refer 'the maintenance of the lines' section for details www.cdc.gov/infectioncontrol/guidelines/bsi/index.html www.cdc.gov/hai/pdfs/bsi/checklist-for-clabsi.pdf

What should be done if only two of the three ports give back flow of blood...before injecting fluids.?
I hope the doctor has done the hand wash
Hi sir , How to confirm IJV catheter tip placement in the Chest XRay, (3rd or 4th rib?)
Sir can give the antibiotics during blood transfusion when central line present.
yes , blood through the distal (middle port) and antibiotics through the proximal port
Wow it's really interesting
Blood transfusion should be done through central line or peripheral line? Is it safe to transfuse blood through central line?
yes can be done by both.

In case there is short neck , so to fix the central line a little higher (so that it’s not too deep in RA) , it’s used and we call it butterfly here .
KINDLY WEAR GLOVES WHILE HANDLING CENTRAL LINE
Kindly he can handle if he is not opening the closed system and since the site is properly covered
You do realise that noone suggests using sterile gloves just to handle 3ways, right? Unless you consider wearing plain gloves is better than washing your hands before and after small stuff like this.

Sir I think the yellow one is the distal one
don't go over the color, look for the sizes and the length. look once again.
So rushing fluids through the distal port will not cause purging of vasopressors going through the proximal port?
Comparatively less .
@@TheICUChannel Thank you sir
why touching the lines without gloves ???????
Answered many times in comments before, read the infection control guidelines.
Can we color coding sir
Actually it’s not uniform in al companies .
@TheICUCheannel pls sir reply me ASAP Thank you

@komalshahu5057 the one which u r using
Sir, which port to give antibiotics and which port is used taking blood investigation?
Usually distal for antibiotics and proximal for sample .
Why are you touching without gloves dr.
Comment has been answered many times, u can go through them or read the guidelines again . Thank u
Distal is yellow. Medial is white 😊
Absolutely wrong
Don’t go on the colour , go on the length . Colour codes can vary with companies and brand .
